Just FYI this is not a "I'm quitting" thread Still an active TF buyer. However, buying less and less these days has really put the question in mind - when are we, as collectors, really at a point where we are content with what we have in our collections/displays? Not where we want to quit & be done with the hobby and sell everything off, but just be able to sit and appreciate what we've amassed over the period of time collecting, and be cool with that. I know as a TF fan the general consensus might be, well, never. The collection is constantly evolving with new releases still coming out actively from hasbro, takara, and 3rd party companies. There is a bit of a slice of the pie for every type of TF interest now under the sun, and your niche is likely covered in some way or form. For me personally shifting to a lot of MPs and 3rd party, I've kinda come to a point where a lot of the new stuff that gets announced for upcoming releases are either slight upgrades to a previous release I'm content with, or another company's offering/variation on a previous release. I'm super picky about what I spend money on now. Something has to floor me in both pictures AND reviews for me to want to open up the wallet, it's not a "first show in town" or "wow that's badass gotta have it" situation anymore. The product needs to impress on both a visual and technical level to be worth the cash. With that being said, I think the last MP purchase I made was toward the beginning of the year, and I've just been collecting new siege offerings since then, which I think are great for their price points. I've honestly never been this content with my collection, and have been spending a relatively low amount on this hobby for the first time in about the last 13 years. Just wanted to throw out the question to the community and see if people are still balls out for every new offering or kinda getting to the point of being satisfied with their toys after several great years of releases.
