Add the BW doors and guns on the other side of the volcano but covered in shrubs/antiquated
yeah, put in the easter egg poster in the interior, 'die cast construction: its a lost art"
ive actually advertised for help on this project at my local board. hope to get some help and actually realize this project.
I wanted to thry this 6 months ago.....
It seemed too darn hard
man i hope you're able to get to buildin this so i can steal it in the night when you're making sweet love to your...lover.....thing.... >___>
yeah... so i can steal it....
KA, I just wanted to let you know - even in theory, that is a completely kickass idea. The blueprints are thorough enough that somebody with enough free time might be able to do something like that. Damn, do I wish I had free time now...
WOW! KA i am impressed! That looks so pretty
Sweet jumpin' monkeyballs that's awesome!
Very well thought out and designed, KA. Good job!
yay! i rule!
seriously, with all this moral support i'm gonna start this bitch, with help or without.
next time you'll hear abt this itll be in the radicons forum. i'll also be taking suggestions like that one abt trap doors and concealed gun embattlements near the entrance.
see ya when i see ya, thx for all the comments.
This is gonna be better than Tracey Island!
If this looks sooooooooooooooooooooo good in blue prints I wonder how good it will look once you finish it. Take all the time you need, I know the result will be more than we can imagine.
Nice work on that blueprint!
Looks like a lot of fun, but also a lot of time and $$. Reminds me of a 4' x 8' HO train layout I built over Christmas break several years ago. Took lots of time, but I learned a lot. I just wish my toy room had enough extra space to accomodate something of that size now. Great job on the conceptual design; post pictures if you get the wild hair to start building it!
how much did that cost you?
the foamboard, wire mesh, plaster of paris, and the plywood base, i'm familiar with and can afford.
i havent checked out the prices for terrain modelling (grass, paint, chiipings/sand/gravel). if its too prohibitive, i'd prolly have to sculpt details in. dont have an air brush, so i'll have to improvise.
think i'll start with the cardboard work this weekend. wee!
mods, feel free to move this thread.
Pretty damn cool KA! I did an ark diorama once (nowhere near as impressive) a few years back. I think I need to post pictures of it tonight!
that looks freakin cool dude. now i dont care about your lame "working till 10" lame excuse! build it!
Wow man that's really fukn kool! In the inside of the base looks realy accurate and the front lawn is a percect scene for battles. Feeling some nostalgia looking at the print.
They've alreay released that BW2 playset with the frog, so surely they can pimp one of these sets out too us. If not Im kitbashing the frog
did a mock up to work out the scale. like i said, i want an in between scale thatll accomodate early g1s and WSTs/micromasters.
its almost 1.5 feet long. the base will be 3 ft wide (so itll fit thru doors).
awesome start bro. *thumbs up*
If you need any assistance with research on the construction and stuff, let me know.
you could use real grass/chippings/sand/gravel from outside xD
that should cut costs a little xD
and the mock up looks mighty sweet
