Since I started collecting, I had one small project I wanted to complete. I wanted to have the Season 1 Decepticons in Classiscs scale. Today, I got my shipment with the last 2 insecticons and finally completed this shelf.

Unfortunately these pics suck. I will take better light box pictures later and try to stitch them together. See how that ends up working out. So sorry for the bad pics, but enjoy a Full Season 1 Decepticon shelf!

I know some people have been asking where I got these backgrounds from. I did a post earlier explaining these. Here is the link:

Yeah, been working on the MP Scaled one for the same thing as well. I am still using some G1 figures as stand in. Got a custom in there as well. I will most likely use "Hercules" as my MP Devastator.

Really wishing for some KO MP Scaled PE Reflectors though. That would make me real happy. Here is what I have until I wait for those. I just got my MP Thundercracker as well, just haven't had time to replace the custom I had done of him. I never thought I would get MP TC.

Very very nice. That back drop does wonders for the display.

Just think, in less than a year you can take Devi off that stand and replace him with Herc or Giant :p

    Very cool.

I'd upgrade to a DL Ravage, though.

And if you have money to burn/customizing skills, maybe an Air Warrior (repainted seeker)/Shadow Warrior as a stand in for the generics?

Also: Jeez, I had no idea not-Reflector was so tiny.

    Thats really neat.

I love when people post threads like this, so I can better know what I have, bc I'm just like, "Every classic decepticon: Check" with no kind of knowledge with the difference between Season 1 and 2s.

Love the backdrop too. Fun times.

I have DL Ravage, but I gotta say he looks too big in comparison to the rest of the guys. That is why I left him off the shelf.

I was thinking about the generic seekers, and I keep going back and forth on them, maybe one day I will get them. Just was thinking it will really clutter that shelf.

As for Reflector, yup he is pretty tiny, but they squeezed so much awesome into him, it is rediculous. He is slightly smaller then what they should be in scale.

Thanks. I am trying to think of the best ways to do my shelves. So I am thinking Seasons for the Decepticons, and the Autobots. Then I have another shelf I am going to try to do just for comic figures.

As for the back drops, I am trying to see if it is at all possible to line all of my shelves with different things from the show, it is easier said then done.

If your at all interested in doing these back drops, you can download them here: http://forums.tformers.com/talk/index.php?showtopic=91920

I know that this sounds like blasphemy, but I really like the Crazy Devy Devastator with my Classics. I think Hercules will go with the MP Decepticons.

Really? G1 Reflector? While those are neat, not sure they are too MPish. But if you have a link, I would love to see it.

Thanks, unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to get a good lit and focused shot of this.

When I get the time to do the light box stuff I will do that.

Thanks Alucard, but unfortunately I can't do that since I don't use booksshelf displays anymore. :(

So are you using bookshelves and just lining seperate shalves on them with different BGs?

If so, would you mind posting pics of like, the whole bookshelf? I think it'd look even more badass seeing the contrasting BGs and stuff!

Yeah, almost forgot about these guys. I gotta see how they are done and colored and such. They are sweet, but I try to stay very G1 where I can in MP Scaled stuff. I just think the PE Reflector is a perfect G1 update. If it was MP Scaled, it could easily be a MP Reflector in my book.

I just really started doing these. I need to find more Backgrounds to do this full steam at this point. So I only have 2 shelves done. Old pic of this:

Thanks, could you tell that to my wife? She thinks I am a dork for lining my shelves. LOL.

I just got so bored of the black background.

But I have to redo that autobot shelf. I ran out of paper on one and used a different type of photo paper, so half that shelf faded. The Decepticon shelf is one photo all the way across done at Costco. If anyone does this, that is the way to go, have Costco print full sheets.

Those shelves look incredible. As good as the toys look, the backgrounds just make them that much better.

    I take it you didn't like Megatron's wings? :D
