I got this yesterday and spent last night putting it together and messing with it. Amazingly, assembly takes about 5 minutes and the majority of that is spent unscrewing the hips and chucking in the new knees. Once attached in robot mode, everything is fairly solid except for the grey waist panels which fall off constantly. This reaches an irritating peak during transformation where they have to swivel under the now rotated knee pads. Plastic quality is mostly reasonable with the odd bit that you don't want to put too much force on. Overall it looks great in both modes, but getting there can be frustrating for silly reasons Beelzeboss should have corrected, and truck mode can be a sod to get it to hold together. I have written a much longer, more detailed review of it (there is a link in my signature below) and here some of the pics from it, to show you how awesome the toy looks
honestly I feel the difficulties with the truck mode are probably more a fault of the original toy than the add-on kit, but then again still waiting on mine from China... I don't know, I just always enjoyed this design a lot more than the SND kit's look.
Nah - it's the add on kit. The connecting piece Beelzeboss whipped up is attached to a soft peg that gives the panel a lot of flex. When you are trying to clip pieces into it, it becomes a nightmare as it moves. Thanks - sorry for the delay in replying. There is a sort of combined mode but it's not an official one. It's just get as close to the original CW Prime configuration as possible. It looks awful though. Yeah, the quality is the most disappointing thing. After the sheer amount of time it's taken you'd have rightly expected it to be excellent but it feels very cheap. I don't hate it but it's not as good as it should be.
I have to agree with his review. I've been eagerly awaiting this upgrade kit but Man did it take a long time to finally get and the transformation into Truck mode was just a hassle. Just going to keep him in Bot mode as he's a beautiful piece non the less.
