OK I sent in three audition lines for Diver. I intended to record a second version of "Diver, Maxmize!" with a little more power. Is it cool if I send that with my audition for any other characters?

I don't have a problem with doing it. Either way.

Ask as many as you like, doesn't bother me. If you have a question about auditioning that I can answer, there might be other people asking the same question.

That sounds good, and yeah, mics can be sensitive.

Buying a new microphone was one of my best deals the last years. You greatly improve your chances to get on the project with some decent audio quality.

Yes, that would be a problem... If it's a regular computer mic and not too old, it should be fine. But I actually don't know what kind of mic everyone uses, so I don't know for sure.

I just found out, surprisingly, that Audacity's hum/noise reduction works quite well! PRAISE THE LAWD

I've heard that Audacity is a good program for that. I use it to convert WAVs to MP3s when I need to retain the file length. Goldwave adds an extra fraction of a second.

Oh god yes it does! I was having sound quality issues too. Audacity fixed it great.

So if anyone who feels their mic quality is inadequate, take that advice... Basically, with our projects, we try to make them feel as professional as possible.

I've been pleased with many of the auditions so far, but I want the best cast possible, so I'm going to give some more tips and maybe re-emphasize some points too.

-Lio Convoy is pronounced "Lyo" or "Lie-oh."
-Megastorm's subordinate voice is not extremely high pitched. I'd say a little tougher than a Dirge or Thrust voice.
-We are not looking for a G1 Starscream. Maybe a tad of G1 influence, but not a full-out impression.

Any other questions, we can field them as we've been doing. I think I'll be posting Japanese clips for reference soon, but until then, keep auditioning!
