Oh, I'm sorry, that's a couple of episodes in the future. No auditions now. Right after this audition session, we'll have a new one featuring the Autorollers.

what episode do more predacons appear on. I dont think i fit any of the current preds but i will send an audition in anyway

also wondering if starscream turns into hellscream later on in the serise?

 

Besides the Autorollers? I think that would be episode 19, with the Seacons.

I thought I would post a few tips to help people out. If any of these make you want to change your approach on a voice, or give it another shot, be my guest. You're not limited in the amount of auditions you do.

Apache - I would say he's closer to middle age, but yet a little crazy.

Bighorn - Bighorn is loud and high energy. Be prepared to deliver those lines quickly.

Diver - When I said a "goofy frog voice," I did not mean Kermit... Just a quirky anime voice.

Galvatron - He must sound very menacing and have some bass to his voice.

Megastorm - This is an important one for me and I would like to cast it properly. As I said, he has one personality where he is sort of soft-spoken and subserviant and then another where he is almost like his big brother, Galvatron, but not quite.

Starscream - I'd say his voice is very calm and relaxed pretty much all the time.

 

For Diver, how about something sort of similar to Gollum from the Lord of The Rings movies, but a lot less over the top?

Also, for Scuba, are you looking for naturally low, or more of a growly tone? If natural, how low exactly do you want it? Are we talking Darth Vader here? Haha. If so I'm surely not that deep  

 

I'd say that's a great interpretation for Diver, in theory.

Not at all Darth Vader low for Scuba, but yes, I would say natural as opposed to growly. He's easygoing and laid back.

No, since different people are auditioning and lots of it is really good. We don't require great mics, but we do frown upon bad ones.

I am really excited about having a fresh cast for multiple reasons...

1) New voices, duh!
2) People who are already working for us have enough to do.
3) Again, new voices. It gives the project a fresher feel.

Still, I would be surprised if a few fan dub regulars made returns. But there are plenty of characters in Second and I want lots of new people in there. I never claimed that we've used everyone worth using... I'm sure there's a great amount in the unused talent pool. (Also, a lot of not-so-great talent, but by trying out and practicing is how you get better, right?)

There is a downside to unfamiliar VAs, which is that you don't know if you can trust them. So that's how regular VAs become regular VAs, having good voices, acting ability and being quick sending their lines in.

Or sometimes, just really good voices!

 

if we do audition for a part and you think we would better suit another part will you inform use?

 

Well, perhaps, but usually we primarily focus at characters who were auditioned for. But yeah, if we don't have someone, we might say, "hey, your Thrust would make a good Dirge." But with those two, they're a little interchangable anyway. Maybe more like "your Megastorm makes the best Galvatron."

 

I'll record multiple auditions tomorrow and send them your way. Maybe I can come up with something you can use. I've always wanted to be part of a fan dub.

 

Just wanted to clarify something. Your only looking for one audition per character correct (i.e. submit only one audition for Diver not 3)?

Ive always been under the impression that the answer is yes.
