... Assuming the Vok would still be involved with the story how would explain away humans not noticing Vok technology?

Some things are pretty easy like the standing stones are based on real world locations anyway... but then there's things like the Earth having two moons.

Would humans in universe just think we've always had two moons?

Maybe the second moon is cloaked from human detection but the Transformers are aware of it and don't really think it's weird till they realize humans don't know it's there.

So this, basically.

 

No... I'm talking about Beast Wars... the cartoon... same characters, basically the same story... but change the setting from Prehistoric Earth to Present Day Earth.

 

90% house cats.

 

Have them fight in the jungle and Savannah, have a re-occurring joke where an animal documentary crew catches glimpses of the Maximals and Predacons battles on camera and wondering what is going on.

 

If the Predacons can still get their beast modes from fossils, have people with iphones and so forth flipping out at the living T-Rex and so forth.

 

This is good... but doesn't address the issues with there being 2 moons and other Vok related stuff.

 

Assuming this is an alternate timeline from our own then people would just see two moons as natural if it has been there from the beginning.

Now this is a tangent, how would this affect the space race during the Cold War? I would love if the history of this timeline had the US land on one moon while the Soviets land on the other moon. They might uncover some Vok technology or they could have been experimented on the moon and came back as weird human hybrids...

 

So rather than trying to hide the fact this is the Earth you want to explore the idea of an alternate history... I like this...

 

Yeah, I think there's more interesting stories that can be made with an alternate timeline, like in Animated where robots are a common thing in cities.

 

Animated wasn't really present day though it was suppose to be some time in the near future.

 

Car robots(mostly) and beast wars 2 are close too that.

 

How? I said specifically said that the same characters and plots would be explored just in a different setting.

Car Robots has a completely different cast and there aren't even any Maximals in it, unless you count that clock that looks like Heinrad.

Beast Wars 2 doesn't have any humans or cities of any kind so clearly that's not present day... unless it was some uninhabited part of the Earth or something but that completely defeats the purpose of changing the setting to present day Earth... which is basically how modern humans would interact with those characters instead of the weird ape creatures.

 

Fire convoy and his force are maybe maximal using autobot symbols to pose as
Autobot and bw2 actually does take in future where the humans abandon earth.

 

Well, they are Cybertrons. The good guys are ''Cybertrons'' in both Car Robots and Beast Wars II. Only problem is the insignia.

 

And it's all done over the typical British narration you hear in documentaries.

 

Better yet, have the narrator be eccentric like Nigel Thornberry .

 

Well, now that's just a recipe for success.

 

No they're just Autobots... what would even be the point of doing that? It serves no purpose.

The future is not the present... And humans have abandoned Earth which again defeats the whole purpose.
