    I like how the DVD is the Golden Disc in the set.

    Looks mighty tempting. I love how Primal is spot on his animation counterpart, chest and all. A fine job by the Takara folks.

    after seeing hasbros new primal and megs, im tempted to pick this set up too....even though im sure ill still get hasbro's, and just fit them into cybertron story anyway...

    I am so glad I preordered this I was just thinking what would make this set more awesome a 2 sided primal face with his mouth piece up on the otherside

    I was holding out for Hasbro's versions as well but these do look extra spiffy... I dunno if I can justify almost 200 on Pepsi Prime, Laser Prime and this two pack though :(

    Yup. Takara could've been cheap about it and just changed the paint, or not even have done that, and it would've sold okay.

    I should get excited....... but i know mine is just going to go on the pile with all the other stuff that i've not bothered to open.

    Just got hold of my BWR-01 set. Wow! Absolutely beautiful. The box is huge and the "Beast Wars" and " Beast Wars Reborn" logos on the front flap are embossed in silver foil. The packaging is just pure class.

    The plastic used on the figures has a slight metallic sheen to them to recreate the CGI look and the show accurate head sculpts are spot on. Haven't got time to open it up but I've no regrets getting this set even though I've already got the original molds. A must buy for Beast Wars fans!

    see, i dont have the originals, just the universe repaint of prime, and the beast machines dinobots repaint of megs....so if i pick these up, and drop that amount on them, i dont think id get the originals....man, i need money....i wonder if i really need my kidneys...i wonder how much i could get for the pair...

    Excellent question, I was wondering if these were smaller or the same size as the originals as well.

    Also, Is this the exact same set that Hasbro is going to be releasing for their 10th anniversary OP/Megs line? I'm confused as to whether they're releasing these figures, or those other ones which are completely new molds as revealed at ToyFair?

    hasbro is releasing the molds from toyfair...these are stictly japanese...and they are the same size as the original molds...i beleive...

    I'm pretty sure they are the same molds shown at Toyfair except with show accurate paint schemes. But I still don't know their size in relation to the original toys.

    No, these are NOT the same moulds shown at Toyfair. These are remoulds of the original figures that will likely only be released in Japan.

    The Hasbro Anniversary Primal and Megs may be cool toys by themselves, but they are horrible 10th anniversary figures. I'll be happy to get these Takara ones instead. The only thing I wish was that they were more Mega sized. I've always thought the orignials were a little too big. If only I had a shrink ray.*sigh*
