Got to agree with the general thought that it is really exciting to be getting new Beast Wars fiction again. Thinking on it, executing Under-3 in cold blood might be the most threatening Scorponok's been shown to be since he blasted Dinobot away in the pilot.

Aw, man. Seeing Dinobot stop Terrorsaur from killing that guy... man. When I realized who it was, I felt the same sort of awe I’ve felt in recent years when legacy characters came back for new stuff: * Han, Chewie, Leia, and Luke in TFA * Iroh in The Legend of Korra * Mufasa in the 2019 Lion King * Rexy in Jurassic World * Woody in Toy Story 3 Man. That meant a lot.
One of the best parts of all this is that Scorponok may have consistent characterization this time around!
I was kind of expecting "Gnashteeth" instead of Galavar. It makes me feel less like I have to track down a Gnashteeth toy for the collection, though.
You know what when I tried to imagine what BW megatrons real name was I always imagined it evoking his Shakespearean, flamboyant, ego driven personality, I just couldn’t pin it down. We got Gnashteeth, probably a reference to his crocodile form in 1996 but it’s still animal related. Galavar while not the greatest is totally something he would change to Megatron, it’s as if the writers found a way to pin it down and did it well. This makes me wonder if more characters will receive similar names,hopefully Optimus Primal can be given a backstory, explaining why an average ship captain would be have the name and face of a godlike leader.
Using an obscure character as canon fodder doesn't do much to get me excited for this. Why not use a generic? Why not keep Under-3 open for later?
On the one hand, I get what you mean. He could've been fleshed out and made into an interesting character. ... On the other hand, it's Under 3. I don't think we'll miss too much from him being offed so early.
Did somebody forget their blue text?? Haha. I mean, all the guards there on that page are just different color variations of the Unit 3 figure so... Maybe the "real one" is still out there??
Does anybody know for certain if this first issue will be 48 pages or 32? Cause it varies depending on where I look it up
