Hoping it's more along the Galaxies rather than other ongoing. Not a fan of the current story imo. Praying for it to be good, though. Do I spot Onyx Primal there?
Liking what I'm seeing so far. Also I wonder if that bat former's Nightscream or someone else entirely?
Love Josh's art. Just really great stylization. Curious who the Bat will be. Pre-TM2 Sonar? -ZacWilliam, I enjoyed TF Ghostbusters too so I'm all on board here.
Is this a Transformers Animated tribute kinda art or what the comic will actually look like? Because if it’s the latter – neat, but not for me.
The article had other pieces of art with different styles. I think this is just a stylized cover for #1. Maybe a couple issues with this artist in charge but I don't think it'll be the entire comic's style
The article says that Josh is the one to illustrate, so I'd assume so. I will say that it took a bit for me to get use to it, but now I really enjoy his style with his colors. So can't wait.
It reminds me of the small comics that came with some toys in the 90's and early 00's. Has a water color look to it, and I do like that. I am very much not a fan of IDW, but depending on the writing I may be interested Oof, if the comic is in this style and not the first one shown, then it'll be an easy pass. Not a fan of that style.
fully expect this to have ten times the quality and one/fiftieth the attention of the inevitable "Kingdom" Netflix series.
Winston Chan did an amazing job capturing the feel of the characters here, i kinda wish he was doing the series instead of Josh. Josh is great but his artwork looked a little too boxy and the bots were really thin for my taste.
I like Josh’s art just fine, love it even, just not for Beast Wars. His harsh, sharp angles And geometric shapes are great for stylize great traditional TF characters, but feel at complete odds with the organic shapes and styles of Beast Wars. I’m also growing, personally, weary of “cartoony” styles. I kinda just want a comic with “normal” art where the characters’ expressions aren’t goofy and overdone, and they have consistency to their faces and proportions rather than being stylized for different situations. I assume so, as they probably want to add in more female characters, and that pool is pretty small. Which already feels a little awkward. You have the original Maximal cast and then presumably someone completely new just to fill a quota. Hopefully there will be more new faces so it doesn’t stand out. Or maybe I’m completely off and this is a pre-BM Nightscream?
