Really cool. Ah...if only I can afford/justify the eye-watering price of the vintage G1 Monopoly set... I bought the recently released TF Monopoly with those Evergreen designs and I've yet to open it. No friends are visiting since the pandemic started and all... but I'll find the time to repaint the figures to pose with the Titan Ark one day. This BW set interests me a LOT too, just for the amount of die-cast figures included is impressive. Only thing bothering me is the box's square dimension. It not the same set the Evergreen set or my Star Wars Risk set, so I can't stack them up neatly like those sets do.
Yeah, the site linked slapped me with some $25 in fees on top of shipping and tax when I went to check out (full disclosure, I'm in the US and that site is Australian). I'm hoping it shows up on Pulse so I can grab it.
I don't get the attraction of this. Not because it is BW, but monopoly. Has anyone here ever finished a game of monopoly? Usually people quit playing before we're close.
I've finished one. It ends pretty fast once you get a hotel on Broadway. More or less an instant bankruptcy on the other person when they land on it.
If they added anything to the game other than new tokens & paint apps.... But this is still Monopoly. Just with even more plastic surgery.
I mean yeah, it’s Monopoly. It’s not trying to be an original game… that was the trading card set from the ‘90s. This is just a rebranding like they’ve done for Fortnite, Star Wars, and The Walking Dead already

Well, this was unexpected. I haven't brought a copy of Monopoly ever, only received them as gifts, but something as niche (at least in current TF fandom) as 90s Beast Wars... in 2022! I might have to get a copy
The thing is, they never do on these novelty boards. I assume that’s something Hasbro thinks is part of the brand identity and doesn’t let anyone change.
Haha no idea, I just saw the news item and was all, Verno is probably all over this. My mate actually used to work with the EU games design team before they were retrenched to CA/US. A lot of the weirder or less family friendly Monopoly crossovers/collaborations are actually outlicensed and put together by a company called Winning Moves.
Does this mean there is a chance card for creating a universe destroying time paradox for shooting a G1 bot in the head when you land on ARKPLACE?
Lol I meant sight sorry. This SITE is not depressing. But the sight of another cash grabbing monopoly reskin is depressing. I understand these things are going to exist and I'm happy for those that like this sort of thing, but as a hobby gamer I would have liked to have seen an original Beast Wars game that really embraces the theme and legacy of the series rather then yet another Monopoly clone that does nothing to enrich the hobby or the I.P.
