I think some people need to realize that others may actually like the beast mode and don't consider it a mess. I personally don't, and own two because I love both modes so much. Once you have everything lined up and locked in, plus turn the leg mounts so the ball joints are facing down, that spider is downright creepy.

With the black part that holds her 8 spider legs on top covering her exposed robot arms like it is supposed to, spider mode looks much better. With that done right, the only real eyesore about beast mode is the bot knees showing on the spider butt, which makes her beast mode about as good as most of the others. They all have their ugly bot mode parts showing in beast mode, except Megatron who is almost perfect from any angle but the bottom.

Not saying the robot knees showing in spider mode isn't the worst thing any MP Beast Wars figure has let slide thus far, but if transformed correctly that should be the only particularly crummy part of her beast mode. In those pics with the bot arms so exposed, spider mode looks closer to a total fail IMO.

    Should look like this-

Stunning gallery - a shame that it’ll be my final MP after the disaster that was Bumblebee.
That said, the sculpt here is spot on and looks like she walked straight through the screen.

maybe TT could tempt me back with an awesome Silverbolt...

No, Tony Bacula, she most certainly does NOT. From the reviews I've seen, plus my own first-hand experience of the figure, the spider move has been sacrificed to make a much better bot mode.

Yet the Spider mode doesn’t feel incomplete or anything. The legs and arms are visible, yes, but it’s solid. The shape is there, the details are solid, it can actually stand on its legs.

Being reasonable, the spider mode isn’t really that bad. It was an impossible task to marry both modes from the show into a single toy, and they came closer than anyone has before. I don’t see how it could be improved without even more compromises to both forms.

I didn’t wanna be the first one to say it, haha. Every time I see it transformed like that, it’s like a burning cross.

I didn't say it was an awfully spider mode, but it doesn't exactly "hit all the notes", does it?

RE: Beast mode - I hear the points on it's fiddlyness and not hiding things as well as some of the others. Personally, the visuals don't bother me. It's the best BA yet, and on quick and average glances it's very faithful to the show. If you macro zoom and stare at specific angles then yes, it has things it could do better. Bottom line for me, most of the time it's in bot mode and that's on point, and hits beast mode looks most poses and in-person angles.

Fiddlyness - the tabbing is off, and the pressure for different joints is drastic, making transforming and posing a bitch. If the joint tolerances and tab slots were more refined I think people would be less ticked at the final results of TFing and posing.

But, for those that want perfection for what these prices are now, I get it. I'm just happy to have a BA that doesn't suck in bot mode.

It's just about having the beast leg connector closer to the body of the spider. From your gallery, this is good:

    This is weird:

Just having the robot arms fully exposed like that, rather than covered up a bit, makes it look a little more awkward. The photo is sitll pretty damn great though.

It doesn’t matter to me where the leg connectors sit. I put them out further when I want to stand he spider on the legs and close to the body on the web.

What’s more of an issue for stability in these pics is that the arms aren’t tabbed into the shoulders and the knees don’t appear to be tabbed into the the spider butt plate. That will make everything looser and more gappy.

I hear ya now. Yeah, tfing back to spidermode for the fancy shots was quick and apparently more sloppy than I realized. Thanks!

Ah yeah, I see what you're saying. That's also true.

But the leg connectors sitting out showing the robot arms is definitely a personal pet peeve.

No worries dude. The photos are still fantastic, and there are definitely a lot of little details in the transformation that are easy to miss.

Am I the only one annoyed that they haven\'t done Victory Leo yet? I mean they clearly have plans to do it since there are combination ports on Star Saber. But no, we need revisions of characters nobody wants with ridiculous numbers of accesories and qc issues as well at a high price.
