I actually removed all accessories and put them in an appropriate sized ziplock bag that can hold the figure in as well. I then put those in a bin. I still have all my boxes for my figures and used to keep them all in their boxes (accessories), but it was a hassle hunting them down to swap out or whatever. Now since I have the emptied boxes IDK what to do with those. lol I don't want to throw them out, but they do take up room (bins). Sigh #problemswithcollectors

If you ever plan on reselling, original boxes are important.

Keep boxes in case you sell it so that the next guy can keep the box in case he sells it. Collector sees it in box and thinks it's more valuable, but why? In case he sells it. At some point in the chain I guess someone actually cares about the box for the box's sake.

I keep all MP boxes as part of the MP experience. They all have really good product shots and scenes on the backs, plus they're useful for display or security if the figures are to be moved or stored.

I keep my MP boxes because when I move, and I know I will at some point in the next few years, I don't trust them anywhere outside their original boxes. The only way I'll ever sell them is if they break. I did that once with Cheetor, and I was happy to have the box still.

But if I were to buy a home, and felt confident that my figure wasn't gonna break, I would get rid of the box. I'm not attached to the box outside of those practical reasons.

Same. Despite the fact they take up a lot of space for storage, lol.

I threw away the box to my MP-01L. Then I sold it. I regretted selling my box even though I ultimately decided to not own the figure anymore.

There’s something about these MP figures that inspire awe for me. And that was one box that will forever be lost.

I’m no curator but I just can’t stand the idea of one of my toys being incomplete for an eternity.

I keep all my boxes ^^

I don't think I will lol I mean, unless I die, then my family members could or friends. It would be able to sell faster that way, "Item was owned by a collector so barely played with. Only displayed out of box."

See for boxes I used to have, Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow, I want to rebuy. And anything new I want with boxes...wow that sounded dumb lol. But for old games, I don't NEED boxes unless I used to have the boxes growing up.

No kidding. I can think of 6 bins right now that have literally just figure boxes, nothing in them. Just the plastic. I have this, (maybe OCD?) where the box and all inside of it, I paid for. So if I get rid of anything inside/the box, I am throwing away my money, literally. Now I only do this with collecting figures and games. Furniture, regular household items, hell no.

Hey man, it's either that or a ziplock bag stuffed with old packaging filler

Since I started collecting 10 years ago, I've kept every single box of every figure I've bought. From Transformers to completed PVC figures to action figures... the lot. The boxes get stored in a separate room while the accessories are placed into ziplock bags and organized by figure type in separate boxes/drawers. Not only do I agree with the fact that the boxes are essential for if and when you sell the figures, I also agree with the fact that the boxes themselves are part of the figure experience, what with the amazing art and design work that actually go into the packaging.

I collected the majority of my Beast Wars figures second-hand. I didn't feel my collection was complete until I had the backing card or box for each of them.

When did this become one of those "what do you guy do with your boxes" threads? Heh...and I get told I'm going off topic by talking about the price or character design of the actual figure in question!

Well I guess while I'm here, I keep all my MP and Import/Exclusive/Rare figure boxes as it's entirely possible I'll want to sell them on and the boxes add a little value. Anything main line or that I can pick up at standard retail easily the boxes get recycled.

I'm really looking forward to seeing good magazine images of Blackarachnia. I want to see the finished deco (without those photoshopped bits) a good image of all the accessories and hopefully some good scale shots with the rest of the BWMPs.
