She'd definitely do well. Someone else I'd like to see as Blackarachnia is Laura Bailey. However, for Optimus and Megatron, Garry Chalk and David Kaye need to return, if we're basing them on the original depiction.

As to the plot, have there been any story leaks, or is it just all speculation?

 

I hope some characters that didn't show up in the original beast wars shows up.

Maybe the VFX can use softened designs featuring more cartoonish animals, like live-action Sonic and Pikachu?

 

Actually, the more I think about it, if the filmmakers were to (preferably) stay away from Earth's Ancient Past and just go to a distant future Earth completely reclaimed by the wild, where human civilization has collapsed back into tribal barbarism (a la the original "Planet of the Apes"), they could probably pull a "Spotlight: Shockwave" and have the Predacons assume prehistoric beast modes anyway (based on geological scans, in this case likely from museums buried in the fallout of whatever happened) just for the sheer intimidation factor. Granted, a humankind regressed back into savagery isn't likely to give all that much a f*** whether the giant monster animals coming at them are covered in fur, scales or metal, but it would make things interesting for the Maximals.
In any case, the Kong reference could again be invoked...


...but I'd still scale the beast modes down to something more manageable than what these concept pieces were intended for. Primal I wouldn't make any taller than Mighty Joe Young (the '98 version, about 15 feet), and I'd keep Megs Jr. at average adult T-Rex size (around 40 feet long and 12 feet tall at the hips).

 

So if they decided to do this differently from from the what cast of cast of maximals and preds would want to see? Even if he technically wasn't really a predacon I'd like to see deathsaurus as a villain at some point

 

Save him for another movie. I want to see actual BW characters if there is a BW movie.
