With Siege Apeface being revealed it does make me want to see the mold be made into Optimus Primal in some form or another more then ever. Same goes for a potential Snapdragon into BW Megatron.

 

At this rate it seems forced redecos are the best Hasbro is willing to give us for beast wars.

 

i mean, we did get a brand new mold in the main line last year and bw characters are getting several new molds in cyberverse this year

 

That hasn’t been the case though- they have given the rare unique mold or avoided BW-era characters altogether. Hoping that the latter part of the wfc trilogy gives us some unique, non-S1 forms

 

hell, all in all its takara that does the forced beast era repaints (arms micron leo prime, legends leo prime, legends ex convobat and megaligator w/optimal optimus targetmaster), legends g2 megatron (savage noble targetmaster and bw megatron headmaster). hasbro hasnt done a forced beast era redeco since universe leo prime and other than him all of the chug beast era updates from hasbro have been new molds.

 

Quite possibly less.

 

I already have MP Optimus Primal and the Perfect Effect Beast Gorira, but I think I'd have to buy a season 1 Primal or season 3 Optimal repaint of this Apeface if they made one. The figure just looks fun.

 

Here are some lesser seen Japanese and Korean only Beast Wars 2 releases. Originally designed and planned for G2 release in 1995, only two of these made it to the US and European market as Dirtbag and Roadblock in very Constructicon-esque colours.

3 years later all four molds made it to market in Beast Wars 2 as the Autorollers. To further complicate matters they were released in Korea as Autobots in Car Robots / RID packaging as the Scoutforce. I've included all the names below.

(For the sake of my personal collection I display these with my G2 figures, hence the repro labels. I divided them between Autobot and Decepticon because G2 lines were often a equal split of the two.)

I wonder what Jetter and Launcher would have been called if they made it into the G2 line?

 

Yeah it's a good question, I've tried to research it. I know a dude who has two of the samples of the unreleased G2 molds but even the internal Hasbro shipping paperwork doesn't mention it. I've even watched toy trade shows of the Hasbro booth in 1995 where they demo Dirtbag and Roadblock but they only mention "all four of these Auto Rollers" and never break them down by name. The search continues.

 

With the way G2 naming worked they could have ended up being Hoist and Kickback.

 

With G2 naming it could just as easily been Dimebag and Ballsack. I like Mach Two for the Jet (one better than GoBots) and Uncle SAM for the missile truck.

 

This guy came in the mail today, but the seller put him in box that was too small, so the car curled. Using tge bottom of a shelf and its own weight to hopefully flatten it out.

 

Is that a tiny KO of T-Wrecks?

 

It's a KO of the Robot Masters Megatron in T-WRex colors however, they did not paint the blue accents on the beast mode
