Both silverbolt and skywarp (Japanese version) both have gps, but it’s a more minor case from everything I’ve read, not like Tm megatron

Its such a shame so many bw figures suffer from gps.

This is why we need updates.

I think Randy is the most infamous gps sufferer of the Japanese releases.

I never heard about Silverbolt or Skywarp having gps. That upsets me. I’ll have to check my Skywarp.

Although everyone kept telling me BM Snarl would crumble to pieces but mine is still as sturdy as the day I bought him.

I think the biggest issue with silverbolt/skywarp is the hinge assembly for the magnaboss transformation. It’s not super common, but it’s been known to happen. And now that I think about it I have heard about Randy and bm snarl, it’s the reason I went with universe snarl.

Edit: doesn’t one of the mutants suffer from gps?

I checked my Skywarp and he seems ok.

His left leg falls off easily, but that’s an issue mine has always had.

I never got into the Mutants so I don’t know much about them. Which I do regret.

I have BW Silverbolt (not the Fuzor) and his foot crumbled away along with the very tip on his eagle neck where it clips to the body. The combiner pegs seem fine but I'll probably use him as a spare if I ever get Magnaboss.

I actually could get BWII Magnaboss for $130 shipped, but I've been spending a lot lately. Plus I wanted to get Scuba, Thrust, Crazybolt and Bigmos instead. I get so excited when I collect BW that I kinda go nuts and forget I don't want to get too much at once because I actually want to take my time finishing my collection.

The mutants would've been cooler if they were better toys. :/ They're not awful but a lot of them have odd design choices that hinder aesthetics and playability. (possibly as a result of them being leftover Animorphs)

ive been considering picking up the mutants lately, mainly because its only four of them, plus i just completed my beast era wreckers and dinobots, so the mutants were the other sub faction from the 3h comics

The Mutants are still fun because they're BW figures, and so automatically have higher quality articulation, sculpts and paint work than many toys of the time. (and even since)

But they're just a hair away from awesome because, again, leftover Animorphs.

Yea, I had a few of the animorphs toys back in the day, the best ones the I got were the t-Rex combiner and the ultra visser 3, other than those the ones I had were just mediocre

I had a few Animorphs, an eagle, and... actually no, just the eagle, though my friends had some. We all agreed they'd be so much better if they were just robots instead of people.

The Animorph toys are all nightmare-inducing IMO.

The only Animorph I ever had was Jake. Turned into a tiger I think. It was really bizarre. I remember the claws being parts formed with nothing to do with them in human mode (if you can call it that).

Had all the books though. Great sci-fi series when I was a kid. Really dark. Taught me the true power of oatmeal.

Slapping the Transformers name on the Animorphs toys still looks odd to me even today. From a marketing standing point it makes perfect sense, but the books and the short lived Nick series have nothing to do with Transformers lore.

I did have a few Animorphs though, Jake, Tobias, Marco, and Rachel. Even back then I thought they were terrible, but our parents got them for us on clearance, so it wasn't too much of a waste.

Them being sold as transformers is the only reason I ever got any of the toys which then got me into the books, so it really was brilliant from a marketing perspective
