Just a side note from looking at my shelf. I can't quite put my finger on why, but Transmetals Terrrorsaur is one of my favorite TFs of all time. I just think he's a great figure.

I had TM Terrorsaur. He's cool, his third mode is kinda lame, but his beast mode is nice enough to make up for it.

Are there any differences between the Japanese and Korean Beast Wars II figures (apart from the packaging)?

I really like the Beast Machines Dinobot version of that mold, I think it's called Terranotron. It has some red and gold elements that look much more "Terrorsuar" to me.

Yes! Transmetal Cheetor is amazing. When I think Cheetor I think of this guy. The only think I wish they would have fixed was the face sculpt. That grill has got to go. Its cool but the animation model was better.

There was a time when he was one of my favorites also. I would have loved for him to be red. Funny thing is that I took him out today from his storage bin and FINALLY was able to correctly transform his chest. He'd been mistransformed since he went in there.... more then 10 years now lol.

I agree, but I think the actual Transmetal Terrorsaur works best because, like which all Transmetals, their colours change from their old forms. Like Rattrap or Optimus.

I can so look past such a tiny detail. Remember, this was just as show-accuracy was becoming a big deal. And it's really just the D:< mouth. The rest of the face and head are accurate to Cheetor.

Yeah I know but still. Maybe someone can make a new head. I wonder how hard it would be to cover up the mouth ans sculpt a new one.

    That, I agree unanimously. :drunk

But the original Cheetor still holds a special place within me. Probably because I like him alot.

    Ahhh...Yes!

I like that one simply because he's now a Maximal. :lol

Pretty hard considering Cheetor's mouth design.

    BTW, here's the mod:

Sorry for the small pic, but I haven't gotten the hang of resizing photos on Photobucket. But you can still see the difference. I've since done this mod with Tigatron. You don't even need to remove the beast mode head. Just get a thin exacto blade and shave down the corner of the blue/green armature from bellow the head.

I actually prefer TM2 Cheetor to any other previous Cheetor.

To my knowledge, they're the same as the originals. Outside of packaging, the only real differences have nothing to do with the figure itself; the instructions are printed differently compared to the Takara releases, and they don't come with the collector cards that the Takara releases have (instead you get non-laminated cardboard cards of random BWII characters that look like they're supposed to be part of some game).

Cool, so if I got myself a Korean version of a figure it would be the same as any other I could buy? Sorry to be so vague, but it's an eBay auction I'd like to keep on the down low...

No differences between the figures at all. If you bought a Korean version it'd be just like owning a Japanese one.

From my experience, the plastic feels different, but it seems no weaker than Takara's. A lot of my Beast Wars Neo toys are Sonokong, so I can safely say it's pretty much safe.

Cool, cheers guys. Although in the last 30 mins the auction has gone from my nicely kept secret on zero bids to jumping up by several bids. :(
