The hillarious godawful dub of Headmasters is the best thing about it. Without the dub, Headmasters is just a really boring cartoon about 5 stoic space samurai who relegate Arcee to the role of secretary and achieve very little apart from getting lots of people killed.

Heck, the Rebirth had more characterisation than Headmasters.

Correct. Shout Factory say they wanted to include the dub, but Hasbro veto'd it over concerns about its content.

Damn, that sux. I don't care if the dub is worse than Manos The Hand of Fate's script, I'm not expecting high end writing here.

Yeah. I've sat through the whole thing and was really bored with most of it. Granted I didn't have a dub or sub so I was rather clueless. But, again, I'm buying it to help get the others released which I've never seen much of.

That is very much the thing - if Headmasters doesn't sell well, we really won't see Masterforce or Victory. Shout has dropped shows before because their first DVD releases of them didn't sell well, like COPS and Wheeled Warriors. People saying "I'll wait for a set with all three" need to realize that if they don't buy Headmasters, the other two won't even HAPPEN, never mind a combined set.

Of course I'll support this. I've blown twenty bucks on far dumber shit. Energon Ironhide, for example.

In G1 Ironhide didn't have a head. They overcompensated in energon by giving him a head no matter which form he took. He really should have been a headmaster.

With the exception of the exposed head, I really liked Energon Ironhide....

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but does anyone know if Headmasters will be released at retail? I prefer buying in-store, rather than online if I can help it.

Anything can be released at retail, it's a question of whether or not any retailers think it's worth ordering

That's too bad. I may still pick it up anyway, though.
