Happy Birthday Beast Wars. It took me more than 15 years to finally appreciate the great story telling.

Good show, though I think it might have been responsible for the "Optimus is too powerful have him get knocked down all episode by a single missile" syndrome. :lol

Still probably one of the best series all in all.

Happy Birthday Beast Wars, my favorite Transformers incarnation ever!

Thank you Sol Fury for that great article! Can't wait to see what the Takara Live Event has in store for us, and of course there's freakin' Masterpiece Optimus Primal coming in October! Amazing!

I liked some of the aspect of this show I really did and I give it credit for what it did for transformers as a whole. I didn't mind the predacons or the links to G1 which were nice but......... all I can say as a wrap up is that its the ONLY time I wanted the decepitons to win...... TRUKKKK NOT MUNKYYYY!!!!

Wow, I remember when it came out because two week's before I said,"Hey, this new Optimus Primal and Megatron are awesome. They should do a show on this!!" Then it happened, but I was shocked when Optimus was a gorilla and Megatron was a T-Rex because they toys were a bat and crocodile. Also, half of the toys were not even in the show at that time.

A week later I went on a school trip to DC and when I got back, my dad told me he came across a Rhinox in stores along with some new one called Tigatron.

Happy birthday Beast Wars, it was a great show. I remember zapping channels on an idle afternoon and i don't remember what episode it was that introduced me to the show.
I sat back, thinking:"this is Transformers isn't it? Is there a new show?" The thrill that i felt was not in vain, cause that show gave me all the pleasure i felt while watching the G1 cartoon and then some.
It was not till many years later even after the first movies where released that i made a list of all the things that have given me true pleasure in my life - Techno and Transformers being high up - that i decided to enlighten myself via TFwiki, seek out the cartoons and comics and started collecting. And while i never bought a BW toy when the show was on tv, i have a small but fun collection now.

    Amazing its been 20 years.
This fiction really brought me back into Transformers. I'd watch the new episodes come out before heading to my night classes in undergrad.
It was a great success in combining new technology for fiction and CGI story telling as well as transforming action figures. A milestone in Transformer's history for sure!
    Lots of happy memories!

Haa the feeling of awesomeness when looking at the first episode back than, and more so, the aisle full of those badass red reptilian beast themed blisters "Animutants"
My first set was the Duo pack Bat prime vs gator Megatron
i owned a lot of these during my childhood, my favorite beast was Inferno and he still is, and transmetal Megatron. The in between line of the fuzors was poorly distribued there sadly, so i didnt had silverbolt back then, I promptly corrected that when I got into collecting :p
As the show, well, here in france we never got the 3rd season...i had to wait 10 years to actually see how it ended

Congratulations Beast Wars! And what do we have to celebrate such a momentous year? A Masterpiece Optimus Primal from Takara, an above average BotCon set, and "no plans" from Hasbro.
