I was wondering what the AMERICAN release schedule is for the Beast Wars 10th anniversary toy line, and in the toy line, are they going to release the 3 versions of optimus primal (regular, transmetal, optimal) and the same for megatron. and release rampage, inferno, dinobot transmetal 2?????????

    The only confirmed releases are:

    Wave 1 (in stores now)
    -------
    Rhinox
    Waspinator
    Cheetor

Wave 2 (due out in February, I think)
    -------
    TM Rattrap
    Dinobot
    Tarantulus

    Future
    ------
    Optimus Primal
    Megatron

The Primal and Megatron toys will not be previous versions of either character, but brand new molds inspired by the characters, and equipped with the cyber planet keys that the current Cybertron toys use. Pictures of prototypes were seen at BotCon, but past that, we known nothing of when they'll be released.

Are there any pictures of the Primal & Megatron? An updated mold of those 2 would be great!

Nobody really knows, that's just what we were told at Botcon. Best guess is that if stores didn't want to carry BW 10th shelf space that long then they can just slip them into Cybertron.

Are these "remodels" that you talked about of optimus primal and megatron going to be like the takara ones with remolded heads and slight other changes so they look more like there show counter part????

No. They are completely new molds and not particularly show accurate at all, particularly Primal. They had a very stylized look...think Star Wars Unleashed if you know what those look like.

Not likely, since they'll have their own Primal and Megatron to put out. Wouldn't make much sense to release two. You'll probably have to import if you want those.

I don't think that I'm gonna be a big fan of the Cybertron molds.

You just heard about these things, haven't even seen pics yet (yay for me being a TCC member, I will sometime soon :D  ), and already assume they're stupid? Ok, that's perfectly sensible and not jumping to conclusions at all.

Hasbro already stated something to the effect of "If they sell, we'll make more" and I don't know about everyone's interest in them, but the BW reissue line doesn't seem like a failed one at this point. Time will tell.

Well if they make it with anything to do with the Cybertron series then I think that it would be a step in reverse. Plus the 10th Aniversary should be based on the original, you don't see the Takara reissue of G1 remolded and remade into something totally new.

Though KidDynamite said that they would have an almost a Star Wars Unleashed look which is good. I just don't see the need to remake them when all they really needed was a repaint and maybe a technical touch up.

The only thing that worries me about the new Op/Megs figures is inclusion of Cybertron-ish key gimmicks, when they could've just taken that hunk of budget for something else. Presumably this was done so the figures could find their way into Cybertron if the BW Anniversary outlet wasn't as viable. I still really really really really really really wanna see them, so I have some idea what to expect.
