I had written off everything TF until this show came along, and it still edges out BW (by an exceptionally slim margin, mind you) as my favorite series. Had my preorder in for what seems like an eternity.

    Transformers for grown-ups! Yay!

Sweet. it's far from my fav series, but I'll definitely be picking this up. Great to see there's some great extras too, I'll be eager to hear the commentaries!

I still need to get all three Beast Wars seasons on DVD. Once I get those I definitly go after Beast Machines. Overall I didn't think that it was as good as BW but some of the storylines in it were badass. I LOVED when they found out the Tankor was Rhinox.

I don't think I've ever been so psyched to see something that I've already seen several times before.

Now if only I could get my rotating Vehicon avatar back.

Damn, and it will be out next week! $60 is just too pricey... but it's the whole 26 episodes. Hopefully Best Buy or FYE puts them on sale.

Sounds pretty cool. I've only ever seen a few episodes of BM (and they were very crappy quality) so I may consider importing this incase we never see a domestic release. If people are excited about commentaries, then y'all may be interested to know that the Australian R4 release of Season 1 of BW is out in a few weeks and has a few commantary tracks with Larry, Bob and a few others I think. There's also some interviews with them.

That sounds great. $48 plus maybe $5-7 shipping, looks good enough.

You can say that again! :rock  Though i used about 4-5 tapes :sly:

I don't know why everyone was so down on the series. True the story twist and the sudden thrust into "technorganic" made us all go "What? That's stupid!"....but visually speaking...this had to be the the most stunning use of graphics I've ever seen. The colors were rich and vibrant...much more then Beast Wars was. (you can only take seeing so much rock and dirt scenery for so long.)

The ending didn't seem to make sense either...I highly doubt this is were the "Till all are one" edo was truly aiming for. But the sounds and graphics definately make this one a keeper for sure. This is a hell of a lot better then the current Armada/Energon/Cybertron nonsense. I can't make heads or tails out of what the hell the story is all about in those toons...they seem so rushed in the voices and crammed storylines...Beast Machines is at least at a well made pace. As too was Beast Wars. A lot to be said for group voice acting and not re-dubbing alone.

But that's a whole other topic and issue. The point is...this is worth getting for the complete collection. They had a great tie in to the G1 aspect, though flawed at times, it was still a nice nod to those who appreciated the old toons. Yep....I'll get me this set to finish the collection.

It's funny, I love BW as a show, and hate BW toys for the most part, I Hate BM as a show (Fuck Cybertron as a Salad Bowl) but the Toys (Vehicon's) were the first I bought since G2. While I like the look of the show and the animation is beautiful, the story is utter ASS, but I will still get it to tie up my BW DVD sets
