Got these from a friend of mine Sunday. Seems a company here in town is responsible for printing at least some of the packaging for the Beast Machines DVD box sets. I'm fairly sure the group character art and Optimal Megatron art are original. I wasn't sure if I'd just missed the set release, or what, originally, so I said nothing. But as it's upcoming, I though some people might like to see scans of the insert sheets that will be in the box sets. There's two images, front and bag, and since each image is over 1.5MB, I decided not to actually post them here, and uploaded them to Tinypic instead. So if anyone wants to see these, here it is. <img src="http://tinypic.com/m7bz0o.png" alt="Image hosting by TinyPic"> <img src="http://tinypic.com/m7c18w.png" alt="Image hosting by TinyPic"> *EDIT* Since Tinypic won't show them full size, I uploaded them to my own site as well, use the links below to see the images at the full image size I saved them at. Am I the only one who saw "bot sex" instead of "box set" in the title of this thread? I just had to look... and then go back and recheck the title when the pictures showed no metal grinding action. Ok, time to go do something else...
The ugliest Transformers ever. Even the figures didn't look like these images, not that the figures will win any beauty prize either. It was the only TF series where I wanted to see the bad guys win. Prime became a Hippie, Ratbat a coward, and why did Megatron hate his Beast form? Bad writing. The first plant Transformer and Cybertron a weed garden by the end of the series. Hmm, maybe I don't want to see that again.
the 2 pics can be found at www.bobskir.com http://www.bobskir.com/beast_machines_publicity_stills/Episode-18-6.html http://www.bobskir.com/beast_machines_publicity_stills/Episode-26-7.html simply screen shots
Indeed. Beast Machines should have had the good sense to stay dead. I, for one, won't be getting this set. That would make it much harder to ignore it.
Ah, OK. So just recycled art. Slightly disappointing, but they're still new to me, or at least didn't ring any obvious "I've seen that before..." bells.
