What an odd toy. Blast Charge just couldn't let go of the 90's. Despite coming out in 2000, this deco is right at home in G2. Bling AND bengal stripes. My oh my.

The car is so fantastically goofy. I love it's big face. I love that none of the the sets of wheels match.

I love that his robot head is so not hidden that it feels wrong not to have it up.

    Robot mode. Wow. Robot mode...
No toy has ever been missing a joint like this cat is missing a joint. Look at that thing!

The official transformation is the one that looks the least like an official transformation.

A simple mistransformation moves the uniboob off to the back. Why isn't that the official transformation?

Pop the head off and replace it backwards and you actually can fold down the uniboob.
Of course now you can't fold away the head in alt mode...

    ...but swap the arms around...
Now we're on to something! Transform him backwards. No uniboob. Transformation works fine. AND NOW HE HAS KNEES WHERE HE DIDN'T BEFORE!
Why isn't this the official assembly?

Anyway, that's Blast Charge. Goofy as anything, illogical, and ugly to boot.

    I love this toy. :)

On the knee count, I'm pretty sure you can just swivel his thighs around so that they work in the "proper" configuration.

As for the chest cannon, eh. Vehicons are a rather atypical looking bunch anyways. Not being able to reach past it, especially when loaded, is pretty silly, though.

You can swivel his thighs around (Alternator Jazz style) to give him the knee bend in the forwards transformation, only now his legs are so far out in front of his center of mass that he'll keep falling backwards.

Had forgotten about this toy, I think it was the first one I bought when I started collecting Transformers again. Now this makes me want another one again.

I have this guy. And, OW, do I love him. He has a bad design, stupid gimmicks, a 'meh' face sculpt, a puckish color scheme, among other things.

    He's just like me.

Bought this guy when he was originally released; awesome vehicle mode. Definitely very... special robot mode. Within the last year or so, I picked up the Universe repaint of him, which is badass looking.

I really miss the original Universe line. It was pure insanity.

The Punisher van deco repaint is also rather fun.

I like that he can hold his missile like Staves too - all Deluxe Transformers with missiles should be able to do that by default.

I transform him with the guns pointing backwards too.

I also like that he has the same sticking out neck Trick that Deluxe Jetstorm, Stryka, Thrust & The Cycledrone all have too (and even Obsidian a bit too I suppose) and that in this case it double up as extra vehicle Articulation.

I do kind of wish they'd made a version in ATV drone colours though.

I like any figure that has stacked up wheels for legs.
