animal modes done ala G1 dinobots/skylinx/trypticon are fine, animal modes with fur, hair, i.e. anything that could be mistaken for a farm animal toy, not fine. Big Semi Truck beats squishy monkey:

Um, in BW season two and three they were mainly like the G1 Dinobots.

Oh, and Primal saved Prime's life. So truck owns "monkey".

actually.... no they werent. Transmetals had metal beast modes and.... *vomit* organic *bot* modes. which looked a lot worse than their normal bot modes. I enjoyed the asthetics of their beast modes but their bot modes were horrible. Also, I consider beast wars to never have existed so no he didnt save Prime ';..;'

Psssss don't rain on his "trukk not munkky" parade. He's really into it!

Um....no. I don't know what Beast Wars you watched, or what you were smoking while watching it, but is sure as hell wasn't what I watched.

    This one:

    from tf wiki:

A Transmetal is a Transformer whose superstructure has been mutated by the quantum surge during the Beast Wars.

The most obvious effect is a mode-based inversion of organic and mechanical composition: A Transmetal's beast mode is mostly mechanical, and his or her robot mode bears many organic elements, such as Cheetor's furry chest.

I don't need any furry chested transformers thank you very much. if i did id shave my chest and glue it to my toys. same damn thing. so all you beast lovers out there, i got some toys i can sell ya!

The Beast era is literally "our darkest hour" for Transformers as far as I'm concerned.

Honestly, if we go back to Beast stuff I will be out of TFs again. I HATE that stuff.

But, uh, cool for those that like this news?

it was a very dark hour, though it does stand as a part in time where TF were barely remembered and it did help bring about its revival. The base story telling was good and something TF didnt really never had but the basis for the toyline itself was kind of crappy (organic animals) and focus on machines wanting to become organic was kind of an almost religious push in my eyes. Thats also kinda why it was a dark time as it seems someones agenda was trying to be pushed.

While we are on it, how the hell did transformers go from being so huge to so tiny? i mean i bet G1 prime couldn't fit in the entire axalon.... its stuff like that, that made the beast verse seem so damn stupid.

I get that the cartoon was apparently very good but I just can't get behind the concept. Again, that a personal issue and I have nothing against people who like the idea.

Anyway, I didn't post that I'd be out as a threat or anything just that I really don't care for beast modes (outside of my hypocritical acceptance of the dinobots) so I will find something else - most likely back to just videogames with the odd MP figure when it's released.

    Wow...over-reaction much?

I'm not a major fan of the Beast Era in general, but I wouldn't give up on the franchise just because they started using realistic Beast Modes again...

Actually, it's something already established by G1... Toward the end, many Transformers downsized to conserve energy... Micromasters! Yes folks, the entire cast of BW were Micromasters.

Also, while I loved the beast saga, it WAS almost the downfall of Transformers from a toy perspective. Armada is what truly SAVED the franchise, and it's been said by folks at Hasbro many times.

Actually it was really The Phantom Menace toyline that tanked the worst, though BM probably did not help either.

    Beast Wars had good sales.

Well at least i'll have plenty of green for the 3P combiners :lol

i don't need a bunch of stick legged bots that couldn't stand even if you glued there feet to the shelve anytime soon.

I like beast wars in a nostoglistic (i think i coined a new word :lol ) kinda way, but beast machines was something that doesn't even exist in my universe :D

Phantom Menace had nothing to do with Transformers, though...

But yeah, I should have clarified that Beast Machines was the major culprit. BW did ok, but nothing as stellar as Armada.

A Beast Era would really save me some coin. I can then look forward to strictly 3P stuff for the characters I'm missing.

My wallet would greatly appreciate it.

Figures. Things that most fans don't like is better for Hasbro's money.

Armada brought me back to buying toys, too. Though I was 27 at the time. With a few exceptions, I didn't buy any toys between G2 and Armada. Loved the beast shows though. Well, except for the terrible character changes for BM Rattrap.

Um, no, no overreaction. And no crazy fanboy raging threat.

I literally hated the beast era and won't be buying any figures of that type. So if that's all they make then I won't really be down with TFs anymore. Simple.

Still, I think TT will continue to make awesome MPs and maybe we'll still get some classics and I continue to be down with those. No "fanboy rage quitting" just a statement of intentions and perfectly calm.
