    May I just say w.r.t the completely daft theory that Ultra Magnus = Smokescreen + Optimus, HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAAAAAAA

    What you didn't watch it yet? Optimus doesn't want the hammer used on himself as it is low on energy.

    The priority is that the Omega Lock be rebuilt to save their race.

    Optimus has chosen Smokescreen to be the new Prime.

    My guess Optimus is going to pull a take the Matrix... and my parts to Smokescreen.

    It started off quite good,
    Seeing the military driving up and appearing to get killed made me think it was a lot more gutsy, and then seeing the destroyed town, then Megatron's little speech, but then "100% of the locals were evacuated, and everyone thinks the city got destroyed by a rock, despite there being a huge ass building and ship, also ignore the alien planes flying around." And then Ultra Magnus... what a character.... I'm sure he'll be remembered for years to come, eat your heart Jimmy Roberts!

    please no crossbreeding. We all know it did wonders for Ratchet and Megatron. :) 


    That would explain why BH Optimus seems to have a nose on his toy box........oh well.

    We'll have to stick around and find out for sure.

    On a personal note, i'm starting to think that the 3rd season isn't my cup of tea. I'm a continuity person. I absolutely HATE contrived plans and motives. I also hate "burning justice"/"never give up" and what-not speeches.

    Where have all the good cartoons gone ? (looks to Gargoyles, Batman, Real Ghostbusters, Big Guy and Rusty, etc)

    Probably because if they based him on G1 or TFA Ultra Magnus he would just be a big blue guy that exists and... exists.

    Making him uptight and traditional soldier is probably the best way to give him a little more flavor yet stays true to his G1 Bio of being a dedicated soldier. I don't know if you read them but the current IDW Comics made him uptight and THE LAW MATTERS too.

    Oh man, that was fabulous episode! Certainly love UM appearance and his voice was definitely cool. UM by the book sir talking remind me of his IDW self. It does sound a little bit like TFA Sentinel but I don't think it's too that extreme.
    So,
    UM rescue both WJ and Bulkhead from Predacon, but when they saw UM, it's like there's no connection between him and them e.g. Wrecker Leader. It's kind of a contradiction to TF PRID Voyager bio where it stated he was the elite commander, I guest it wasn't a Wrecker commander. Then later WJ throws and insult statement, whoo who puts shoulder pad in command. Lastly, holy moly Smokescreen is the new G1 Hot Rod! Prime said the new Prime stands before him, ehhee. I'll be shocked if that new BH OPrime design is really Smokescreen who decided to change his name to Optimus as a respect/honor or the person he looks up to. Then there would no contradiction to the toy itself.
