Well, with no Arcee being revealed for the Beast Hunters line, I thought about filling the void with a spare Prime Arcee. I added chain mail to her chest and pelvis, strips of styrene to simulate a corset and on her thighs just because, scarred her right eye, added blade-claws as trophies and gave her a darker paint scheme. Also added a sensor array to her alt mode. No real reason except that I liked it. EBay linky is up: http://www.ebay.com/itm/110968973356?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
Nice to see the FE sculpt to further differentiate it. Love the paint job on the alt mode especially! Looks cool how it fades into the blue. Edit: Oh! Not the FE sculpt. Well the mods make it look different enough!
Very nice work as always man... love that chainmail, new arm spikes and the fade-out paint job, as well as the other new details, which are plenty! As I know what a great mold this is I would definately buy this were it hanging on the pegs!
Thanks for the comments guys! In response to her needing more weapons and armor, I wanted more of a stealthy assassin, so I went with blades and smexyness. Nothing says stealth more than chain mail and a corset. She's heading to eBay today, and I plan on including a weapon for the winner. It'll either be an over-sized gun or a blade.
this looks pretty awesome mate, I love the paint work on it. Though the color scheme says 'con to me.
Can't argue with that. The color fade is very good, the chain mail and spikes are nice touch and I like the facial scar. Very well done.
Awesome job!Nice touches all around.I was on the fence with the faded paint scheme until I saw her in Alt mode."Wow,that looks awesome for a motorcycle alt!"-was what ran immediately through my mind.
The chain mail was made with two-part sculpting putty. I put a general shape of it in the area I wanted the mail, then starting from the bottom, used a pointed sculpting tool and poked into the putty, dragging it downward slightly. Then, repeated it on the next level up, and repeating until I was at the top. That creates a layered look to the chain.
Knowing this just makes the chain mail that much more awesome. That is some very nice sculpting there.
Love the fade, looks great. Not very Beast Hunters-y, just... really really cool. Honestly strikes me more as "Arcee Possessed by Airachnid" which is an interesting idea in of itself.
