he's not exactly a rare figure. you should be able to find him. or perhaps one of his repaints.

try Howlinger, his Telemocha repaint, and even K-9. who is a heavy repaint of the same mold. but you may be able to get him for pretty cheap. you should be able to find him for around 20 dollars. anything over 25 USD is too much. unless you are going for Max B, then that's a whole another story.

I'm trying really hard not to comment on all the butthurt ITT.

It seems like even EMS shipping from Japan would be cheaper than US ebay shipping.

    Oh. My. GOD.

There is something seriously, SERIOUSLY wrong with this fandom when you can't have a discussion about the McDonalds toys without suddenly focusing on Manta Ray's gender. It's ENTIRELY unrelated to what the discussion was about.

I find it rich for people to say the facts about the McDonalds toys are stupid. I think it's stupid to deny a character attention just because of its origins.

We know for a fact that had time and money not been issues back in 1995/1996, we would have seen Wolfang in he TV show instead of Tigatron. Right? No arguments there?

Take the process further back, and (although I'm speculating) if fates had somehow twisted differently, we could have seen Armordillo or Razorbeast in the show instead of Rattrap. I'm not breaking the bounds of anyone's imagination by suggesting that, am I? It's plausible?

Now, take the McDonald's toys. Do you honestly believe that at any point during the development process of the TV series that those toys were considered to be included in the show? That Panther could have replaced Cheetor? That Beetle could have replaced Scorponok? If your answer is anything but 'No', you need to have a good hard look at yourself.

The two are entirely different and not equal. There are the main Beast Wars toyline toys, and then there are the McDonald's toys. They are not in the same league.

I'm sorry, but what has that got to do with anything? So these toys don't count as characters because there isn't a hypothetical where they were used in the show?

As toys, they are not equal. As characters, they are.

I really don't see why this is so hard to understand. The happy meal toys were just that, happy meal toys and nothing more.

Except they're not, because since being Happy Meal toys they've been introduced as characters in the universe.

Exactly! And some people want to put them on par with the likes of Primal or Rhinox.

also; panther does have an "official" toy. anyways. and technically so does beetle. he's just been renamed. and Rhino is just Rhinox with a simplified name. so then why not also include manta ray?

    because they are promotional items?

well the toys are promotional items for the show. as in turn, the show is a promotional media for the toys.

that is just how marketing works.

because you know; primal has always had the greatest toys. Manta Ray is a much better toy than that.

i disagree with that. Wolfang is a great toy.

although, Max B was fun too. although Max B was better as BB.

explain how they are duds in comparison to BM primal.

    Holy....

Now I know how Primal felt after hearing Rattrap and Dinobot bicker all day. I used to love coming to this thread and seeing pictures, posting pictures, and talking about hopeful updates. But damn there is too much drama in this thread lately for me.

Agree to disagree people and shift focus.

Simplistic transformations, lack of any real paint apps, cheap as dirt plastics. They are like the little plastic toys you see in gumball machines. Not like the amazing quality we had come to expect from the Beast Wars line. And I still for the life of me can't see why you are trying to defend them. I don't see the Armada fans gushing over the happy meal toys of their time, or the Movie fans, or the Animated fans. There are far better figures of the Beast Wars that are deserving of praise over some little ray bound to end up in the kids' junk pile.

LOL really; so how many broken beast wars mcd toys have you seen?

because i've seen a whole LOT of that primal. hell, it's harder to find one with both legs, then it is to find a broken one.

the beast wars mcd toys are actually really solid plastic figures. they are a higher quality plastic then the rest of the beast wars toys COMBINED. it's like you've never even seen one in real life. you are clearly talking about toys you have never picked up. i hate to break it to you. but it is all transformers. whether it is a happy meal, or a bowl with optimus prime's face on it.

it is ALL transformers. like i said; franchise denial.

    Blind Franchise Following.

A throw-a-way toy in a KIDS MEAL is not equal to a Deluxe class figure. Or any class for that matter. Not all transformers are created equal.

But this is my last word on the subject (for now) as enough time has been spent on it.
