100% for Kingdom. Admittedly, while those figures were being released I was only hoping to get the Season 1 cast but now with Dilophocon I can’t help but to hope for a little more in the way of toy-only characters like Iguanus and crocodile Megatron, but I can’t imagine ever getting a single new character (that’s not tied to a licensed collab at least).

    @DracoPrimal
I looked up @Unicron9! His work is amazing! Thanks for putting it out there, man.

That's what I've been saying as a toy and engineering the 90s toy is great. I'm surprised how much detail it has for $20 figure back then. The updated toy is a welcomed update, so it can be more show accurate.

Man, I would love to get updated deluxe croc Meg and Bat Primal. I thought those would have been a slam dunk to get made, but no. Hopefully Transmetals are still on the table.

I really can't see this current team making any new toy-only beast characters these days. Originality and creativity seems to have gone out the window, everything has to be an homage to something that came before. As someone who has long wanted this, I can't really complain as certain updates were necessary. Just can't have it both ways.

So I guess all the new Junkions and rock guys don't exist then?

Thing is, they're really not all that original or creative. The Junkions are, granted, deliberately designed to be interchangeable and modular, and more like a supporting army, but as a result they're not exactly teeming with originality.

The rocks guys are likewise not exactly names and designs that blow you away. They're just rocky vehicles with fairly generic robot forms. They're monochromatic, simple designs and don't feel like they organically belong in any display.

They're still brand new characters, even if you don't consider them to be original

Yep, there's definitely bee a bit of originality, if they can do brand new characters then they can definitely do toy only characters

Totes... the restrictions of "no recent media" and "not well known" are more applicable to new characters than T-O figures from their lines.
More BWS1 style Beasts I say!

Absolutely! The sculpting on the TM2s is fantastic. I think both old and new can coexist in a collection and both hopefully will in mine for a long time. They each have their advantages and disadvantages.

Enough of that. They may be new characters, but both are based on/homage to things which were already around. The Fossilizers were new. Originality is scarce these days.

So new characters are entirely lacking in originality? Got it.

I'm looking for a third-party replacement for inferno's gun but there a few options. Which one matches his color best?

We already got a toy-only update with Thundertron since he was never in the Prime cartoon or any visual medium, so that alone should be evident that toy-only character are now on the table for getting updates.

Completely worth the wait to find one lower than $80. Such a solid figure (minus loose ball joints on the back legs but that's easily fixed) and has PRESENCE with those wings. Will definitely be in on that inevitable Razorclaw repaint, if only to get the battle cat mask. Tho, I wonder how that'll work since the tab slot moves if you unpeg that panel with the slot on the back of the head to give it a proper neck.

Hm. Hard disagree on the rock guys. I think they’re the most any of the accessory figures have captured that old Beast Wars bunch-of-toy-original-weirdos vibe. So much more distinct personality than the previous sets, and an overall thematic/aesthetic departure much like Beast Wars’ organic alt modes were at the time. (I guess that’s true of the Fossilizers as well, but…they just don’t do it for me in the same way.)

I do agree that a line of “animals Beast Wars never got to” characters would have been fantastic though. I’d still like to see them do that.
