I've for sure seen worse, but for almost $70, I expect better. But like I said, it worked out anyways, since I remembered that he's just a beautiful brick of a bot, and I like my bots to be more poseable.

JUst got permission from my better half to grab these ... I am going to see if my local walmart offers price match first. If not, I'll order them online.

 

I'm worried that with the BW reissues having their prices cut to this degree means that not only will we won't see more BW reissues but also means that we won't be seeing any reissuing of other non TF lines for good. I hope I'm proven wrong.

 

I agree with this assessment ... And I don't really put the onus on the consumer for not clamoring for the reissue line. The quality was sub par, the price point was initially way too high, and they also reissued some of the easiest-to-find figures. You could find a vintage rattrap loose for like 8 bucks more than the reissue.

The next wave with Tigatron and Scorponok should be a little bit more popular.

 

Siege Jetfire was massively discounted by Walmart like a week after he released, but Commanders continued to get released after him. The clearance prices are just Walmart being Walmart.

 

Hopefully it means that we won't be seeing crapy quality reissues. Although I did just buy a second copy of the ultras at 14.99 to open. At that price point, they might be priced right.

 

We should at least get Scorponok and Tigatron since they are already produced.

I am hoping we get the next wave of Terrorsaur, K-9, Cybershark & Tarantulas which I believe might be more popular. One can only hope.

4 More Vintage Beast Wars Figures to be Released in 2022

 

I'm hopeful for more reissues (especially that Cybershark!), but I'm gonna be waiting for sales on just about all of them. Paid full for the entirety of Wave 1 and I'm pretty peeved at these clearance prices.

 

Speaking of which ... I picked these up today from Walmart. $36 for the set ... nice

 

I wasn't going to get them since i have the originals but at that price, I'll get them.

 

The BW Reissues showed me that nostalgia doesn't hit me very hard. I loved playing with Megs and primal as a kid, but every time I walked past them in Walmart, that $50 price tag was a deal breaker. At $24 I was in, and at $15 it was a no-brainer.

 

Party's over folks, they're back at full price...

 

Totally agree ... I bought Rattrap at full price and returned him immediately. When they were at $24 ... I was on the fence. But for $15, I had to pull the trigger.

 

Nice bro!! Congrats on the haul!! I almost grabbed Primal today, but ended up walking away from him... all 7 of him lol.

 

I also think it depends. When I was younger, I wanted the original T-Rex Megatron SO bad, but they had moved onto Transmetals at that point so it wasn’t gonna happen.

Until T-Wrecks came out. Which was a good sub until the 10th anniversary set came out. But if I had never had that Megatron, I probably would’ve spent full price on this reissue lol.

But between getting most of them as they came out when I was a kid, the 10th anniversary line, and picking up a small handful on eBay, I’ve actually got all the Beast Wars figures I want. The reissues are awesome for people who missed out though.

Buuut I may get that silver Scorponok when it comes out lol
