Tossed the Santa hat's into the toy shelf today.

Also, giving some season 2 love on the top shelf while everyone else seems to be focused on Season 1 (currently re-watching in 4k thanks to someone on youtube)

 

Beast Wars 4K

 

I remember years of 1996 and 1997. I always asked for Beast Wars toys for Christmas. I remember getting the original Optimus Primal, Megatron, Wolfang, Insecticon and Rhinox. Even before Christmas, there was a Magician at a community centre for charity. Then a Teenager came dressed as Santa and gave me Snapper. I just wish for those kinds of Christmases again.

 

Got a Powerhug in recently. Love this thing, prefer the colors on the Japanese version to Retrax. He pops in person.





Reminds me of the old Outer Space Men toys from the late 60's (well before my time).

 

Do you ever give the non show guys your own personal characterization for them? Like I see my Retrax as being a nervous wreck that constantly curls into a ball in a panic. This is because his gimmick is very sensitive and goes off at the slightest touch if I’m not careful.

My take on Manterror is he’s a perfectionist martial artist

I’m surprised there hasn’t been reports of Gold plastic syndrome on Lio Convoy. At least that I know off.

 

Newest editions ... Injector has always been one of my favorites and I had him as a kid. Airhammer is just really cool little figure ... TM2 Cheetor ... I mean he was cheap so ...

 

HECK yeah... barring ever getting an orchid mantis transformer, MY Manterror is a fembot. I mean, come ON... she's a 'terror to any man' because she's a Mantis!
My Transquito is female... or these days maybe non-binary... either way, she started a new Insecticon faction via mind control. While she's army-building enough that everyone gets suspicious of any bot with an insect alt mode, her secret is that she's also got the arachnids ALL under her thrall. Ya know, because of the "second beast mode" as a whip scorpion.

 

He should consider selling the design to Transarts since they're planning to do all the TM and TMII characters and he is in their pipeline. Also, they are making an MP BW Depth Charge and TMII Cheetor.

Same at mine yesterday lots of Rattraps, like 4 Primals, 2 Megatrons and like a couple of Cheetors can't remember how many. Shame they are shelf warming but it was still cool to see OG BW figures on shelf/at retail for the first time. I'm kind of tempted to get one but I'm not interested in them the only one I want is Dinobot since it's Dinobot and still I have the OG figure (missing his mutant mask), Quickstrike if they don't make a new version and Transmetal Megatron (if they do Transmetals)
Also some non-show characters which they are doing since we have listings for figures like Cybershark, and K-9 and the non-show characters I would buy would be Snapper, Armadillo, and while a Razorbeast reissue would be cool I feel like he needs a redo with a new figure.

 

Cool! what I really like to do is use my psychology knowledge and look through the DSM-5 and give everyone a mental disorder. I love the Dysfunction Junction trope. My take on Manterror is he has OCPD and Transquito has Binge Eating Disorder though when he overcharges he acts like he’s drunk. I also give everyone titles to keep track of which personality I give them. Manterror is the Perfectionist and Transquito is the Glutton.

 

I really like that idea. It even kind of incorporates a bit of the original tech spec. in that "everyone who knows him hates him".

now to decide on which rat trap will get displayed. Kingdom has so much personality but is so dang small. 30s is a little too big but almost fits better if only cheetor was a bit taller. Maybe is a 3rd party can make some tigatron feet slippers for cheetor now lol.
