At least the claws look the same in both modes and the arachnid legs remain unchanged but the robot mode has no backpack and only two tiny shoulder pads, meant to be formed from the spider modes abdomen, shrunk down so much they'd need to be faux parts or just a segment of the abdomen.
I think you could still get a perfect robot mode and a more accurate spider than the MP of her season 1 form though because a Transmetal wouldn't look so bad with it's abdomen being made out of different parts from the robot mode, at least in this mode it's made of a few different colours so her gold, blue and magenta from robot mode wouldn't look jarring showing up there as it is actually made up of those same colours.
So I think it's possible to make this character design faithful without parts being removed for transformation.

That’s definitely true! Her transmetal 2 form is one of my favourites so I really hope jiang xing is still operational and gets round to doing her and the other season 3 cast. And any others they decide to do. More the merrier

 

Hmmm...did not address the tail situation. There's some kind of peg or something holding it in place. I gotta think that's the key to unscrewing or modding it so the tail piece can be pulled out and replaced at will. Hmmmm...

 

Mmmh...no, I don't like it. The beast mode design is very cool, but overall he's too different than the Cheetor we all know and love to make me feel the connection with Beast Wars.

 

I wonder if someone will attempt skin these beast modes in the future, it could be interesting to see in a morbid sense. Maybe it’ll be useful in customs

 

It says this Cheetor was developed before the Bumblebee movie even went into production so hopefully that movie’s success taught the studio that people respond far better to more source-accurate, less visually busy interpretations of characters with actual colours as opposed to the messy, muted tones and grey confusion of metal that became too common in the Bay era.
Kingdom will introduce Beast Wars to a new audience and reaffirm the designs which should lead to more ‘familiar’ movie interpretations.

 

I really, really want to move away from these overly busy, no real recognizable shape designs in the movie verse. BB was a good step in the right direction.

 

I like it as a stand-alone robot with a weird head who turns into a cat, but I’m not feeling Cheetor. I’d almost think it evokes the older, wiser Tigatron than someone as youthful and wide-eyed as Cheetor.

It’s like they were trying to look as little like Cheetor as possible.

Love this guy. He’s one of my favourites. I Literally just finished my second attempt at Devcon. Well he’s almost done I Just need to paint the white on his legs  

 

They look great. Definitely one of the BM molds I really need to go back and pick up.

 

I was surprised that he was never released with chug. Pretty sure hasbro has the rights to it now that 3H isn't a thing

 

He’s one of my favorites too. I also like the yellow one from RID 2001.
