Halle-frikkin-'lujah I recently, and finally, acquired Magnaboss. He's fantastic, though Silverbolt gives me heart palpitations, and now I'm thinking I should probably sit down and commit to finishing at some point in the future. So currently by BW Checklist is as follows (ones I have are greyed and struck out, ones subbed with reissues are lighter grey):

    Basic Class:

    1996

    Iguanus
    - Rattrap - Razorbeast - Terrorsaur - Armordillo - Insecticon - Snapper
    1997
    Airazor - Razorclaw - Claw Jaw - Drillbit - Lazorbeak - Powerpinch - Snarl - Spittor
    1998

    Air Hammer - Quickstrike - Noctorro - Terragator - Bantor - Buzzclaw
    1999
    Optimus Minor - Scarem - Sonar - Spittor - Stinkbomb - Nightglider

    Deluxe Class:

    1996
    Optimus Primal vs. Megatron - Dinobot - Tarantulas - Waspinator - Cheetor - Rhinox - Wolfang - Blackarachnia - Buzzsaw - Tigatron
    1997
    Cybershark - Jetstorm - Bonecrusher - Manterror - Grimlock - K9- Retrax
    1998
    Silverbolt - Sky Shadow - Injector - Torca - Cheetor - Rhinox - Tarantulas - Rattrap - Waspinator - Airazor - Terrorsaur
    1999
    Cheetor - Dinobot - Ramulus - Prowl - Scourge - Iguanus - Jawbreaker

    Mega Class:

    1996
    Scorponok - Polar Claw
    1997
    Inferno - B'Boom - Transquito
    1998

Megatron - Optimus Primal - Scavenger
    1999
    Cybershark -
    Blacharachia

    Ultra Class:

    1996
    Optimus Primal -
    Megatron
    1997
    Magnaboss - Tripredacus
    1998

    Depth Charge - Rampage
    1999
    Megatron - Tigerhawk

    Super Class:

    1998
    Optimal Optimus

    1999 Fox Kids:

    Cheetor - Rhinox - Waspinator - Cheetor - Tarantulas

    2000 Mutants/Fox Kids:

    Rattrap - Rhinox - Poison Bite - Razor Claw - Airazor - Icebird - Soundwave -
    Waspinator

    1999-2001 Walmart Exclusives:

    Rattrap - Tripredacus Agent

Whew. So I've got about 44 retail-released figures left to get, but of those I only really want the regular releases. So it's more like 30 for now.

For anyone out there who owns the Diver/Niagara base set, what batteries does the playset use?

    Hi.

    I need some help.

I'm looking for 10th anniversary rattrap tail.

    Created a wanted thread.

Thought I'd try my luck in this thread.

If anyone has it please message me with offer.

All the best my fellow Beast Wars fans.

I bought a bunch of BW stuff recently. I've really been neglecting my favourite line and finally decided to do at least something about my wishlist. So I got Snapper, Buzzclaw, Iguanus, Snarl, Bantor, the OP vs Megatron basic set and Retrax.

My thoughts at this moment is that bat Optimus is pretty dorky, he's just not that good even compared to the other springloaded basics. The bat wings are just a flat hindrance and you can't really put the beast mode anywhere without it just sorta.. wobbling in a very unbatlike fashion. I guess I see why they never really did anything else with the mould. He's pretty much only worth getting for the novelty which is admittedly what I did.

Bantor's only real crime is the entire back end of the animal just hanging from his left arm. The right arm with a springloaded punch only suffers slightly from the lower arm not being as beefy as it should be, but the left arm feels like the designers just gave up or plain ran out of time somehow. If those two things were solved then Bantor would be an all-time great BW figure. He's a mix of animals that is frankly scary, has a gimmick that is pretty big for his size but without being in the way and has a funky and adorable little monkey cat face. But with the shoddy left arm situation he's a C+, honestly.

Retrax is... surprisingly charming! I knew his robot mode wasn't very good and he is another figure with mostly novelty value but the beast mode is actually pretty neat. It's an unusual creature and while I'm not sure he needed a springloaded roll-up function, the rolled-up form is weirdly satisfying. It's heftier than you'd think and is fun to just hold. The robot mode is a real mess but he does have hilariously skinny legs and a neat head. Retrax is a proper oddball and I think he has a place in any Beast Wars collection. He's not one of the best figures but he is truly unique.

So that just leaves me with, uh... around seventeen further figures to acquire. Too bad I didn't do this 10-15 years ago but at least I'm getting there.

You know you can remove the weapon from Bangor’s left arm right?

Yes, but you can't put it anywhere else and the only alternative way to hold it is to put it on the top of his left arm instead of underneath it. I don't mind the tail detaching to form a weapon but we're talking the tail, his lower back and entire hind legs here. I wish he was designed so that part of that formed a shoulderpad or something, to balance out the giant mane on his right shoulder. That'd be cool.

I'm looking for around £30 plus shipping. If you're outside the UK that might be expensive. PM me if you're still interested.

Today, when messing with my BWII Motorarm, the elbow cracked (no stress marks) when I guess I bent the elbow too fast? I was wondering if, given the kind of shiny/translucent plastic of the toy this was a known problem. The hinges that hold his weapon inside the beetle shell also shattered upon first transformation with how much force it took to get it open. I've ordered a TM release as replacement, since it's newer and hopefully better quality, but I was hoping someone here could shed light on whether the toy is full of problems or whether I'm a total dumbass. I'd REALLY rather not break the new one, since I love this set of toys otherwise.
