Just got a Polar Claw and his jaw gimmick is busted. Can anyone have a look at their copy and help me figure out how the spring in the mouth is supposed to be positioned? Thank you!

I grabbed Survive but this should tell you how it's supposed to look. Sorry in advance my phone takes crap photos. I also grabbed a flashlight to help with the exposure lol.

I still need the original version of that mold. Botcon Deathsaurus is nice, but I'd gladly part with it for $100 if I could score Gigatron (The Devil Retool) for $50.

I have botcon Megs, definitely looking to buy Giga/Megatron here soon. Love the mould and deco and character. As others have mentioned it is a timeless mould, Takara and the designer should be proud. IMO its what TM2 Megs should have been which is why Botcon Megs is my head canon TM2

 

You know both rid01 megatron and rid01 galvatron use the devil Gigatron retooling right? There’s a couple on eBay right now for under $50

 

Heh, I did have a lot of fun with that guy back when I'd just got back into the hobby. RID was my gateway back into Transformers and certainly put me on the path towards rediscovering, reassessing and falling in love with Beast Wars.

 

....ANNNNNDDDD bought, thank you. As if I needed the extra motivation to add to the Megs collection. $58 shipped for new copy, seemed like a good deal for me. RID is the last TF show I've ever watched lots of good memories, I really need to watch the fan subbed Car robots.

 

After I finish the Megs collection(need a few G2 and BW Megs) I will be collecting Galvatron, luckily there aren't that many I have an attachment to beyond RiD Galvatron and G1 Galvatron but I only need a few. Chronologically though this is the last Megs from a TV property that I enjoyed. Never could get into Armada but I love Megs transformation animation.

 

His instructions won’t have the extra modes but the hasbro rid megatron is able to do all 10 modes   glad I could help

 

Not necessarily. The original Japanese release didn't have the retooling for the 4 extra mold. That was added after Devil Gigatron was made and the designers fiddled with the toy. When Hasbro imported Car Robots they used the Devil Gigatron retool for both RID01 Megatron and Galvatron. If it's a first run Car Robots Gigatron it won't have the pegs needed for the extra modes. I don't know how many first run Gigatrons are out there, but it can't hurt to be careful.

Current desk / feature shelf setup. Had a few power rangers mixed in but decided to just go pure Beast Wars.

PS. Thanks to various posts in this thread I found that great pose for Dinobot and Cheetor. Optimus doesn't know what to do with himself yet.

I don’t own MP-36 but, judging from this size comparison shot, did MPM Megatron just open the doors for a TM Megatron? (And hopefully other TM Big Bois?!)

 

Well TM Megs is not much bigger if at all from his natural form. So I imagine if done to scale it would be similar to 43 in proportions. Didn't realize MPM Megs was that big......

 

Yeah that thing is a beast! So if MP43 is the same size as 36 then MPM8 is more along the lines of a rampage sized figure! Things just got interesting. AN MP Rampage will end the strongest ratchet joints known to man all throughout his lower body to hold up all that mass. If those ankles are friction joints he’s doomed.

Here’s a TM scale comparison compared to S1 Megatron; I don’t remember the specifics but I think this is a pretty official image.
