the year of the pig is coming up
I still think all these CNY releases have been perfect opportunities for them to give us beasts and they're just falling flat.
Gold chromed Ramulus for year of the goat would have been sweet. Maybe the Longhorn secondary colors instead of the white/brown of regular Ramulus. I would have bought that up.
Blue Minor for year of the monkey = easy
A battle unicorn redeco for year of the horse. (or even a domestic release of the Mach Kick mold) perhaps in white primaries to homage Strata from the Neo cartoon....
Instead it's just kinda been... Meh .
It's a shame Hasbro/Takara never took advantage of the animal zodiacs.
And finally Cheetor.

Polar Claw (Sorry for the crummy quality, my camera doesn't photograph well in snow):
S1 Megatron as a small voyager
TM Megatron as a larger voyager
TM2 Megatron as a leader, and if we want to play the fit him into the Siege line include his BM harness.
Some Noctorro love on a Friday. Just got myself a new one because I realized mine was broke. Be careful with Noctorro lol (this is my 3rd counting the one from when I was a kid).
and yes I know the legs are backwards in robot mode
Noctorro's collector card (and closeup of art).
Honestly, if Takara somehow decided to go ahead with S2 of Beast Wars (you know, a decade from now), I don't see how they can possibly keep them in scale. Transmetal Megatron is only a little taller, sure, but he's a lot bulkier. Rampage is just... massive. Then you get to things like TM2 Megatron, Optimal Optimus etc. They would just be colossuses. It would be at least human baby sized.
I'v always wanted an Optimal Optimus toy that I could swaddle.
There he is, my little guy. There he is, my little guy. Isn't he cute?
This is why I started re-collecting the Transmetals again when MP was announced. I personally don't ever expect to see any Transmetals in MP... they're too big, and they've already established a clear aesthetic with the Season 1 gang. Heck, look at G1 MPs. We're almost a decade into the reboot (even closer if you start counting with MP-9, new scale starter), and we only have 4 post season 2 bots, two of which are Hot Rodimii, and one which was the winner of a fan vote. (I suppose you could stretch that count to 6 if you count Soundblaster & Artfire). I thought for sure we'd have at least a Galvatron, possibly another future car or two for Ultra Magnus to haul around... I think its the primarily the same 2-part problem with that cast--(1) all the bots got larger on screen after season 2, (2) most of those 'future cars' would clash with the current aesthetic of the collection.
Damn it, you beat me to it, lol
Those sizes are for a Generations line, not MP.
I know, I was using that as a segue.
I say they turn the Studio Series over to BW for the S2-3 designs.
Give us Bayverse movie designs?
No. Just use the line for the S2-3 designs.
They're not complex or cheaty enough to warrant the need for MPs. Plus their size would blow the budget.
Doing them in the SS line means they'd still be detailed and screen accurate, but would be cheaper in price and thus have more chance of getting the big buggers made in scale.
I'm still optimistic that one day Beast Wars will be welcomed into the Generations line, maybe as WFC part 3.
