Wow, after doing the pre-orders for Omega and minibots I have toys scheduled to arrive every month starting this month and going through August! Looks like it's gonna be a happy year for G1
Why would you wanna drop $120 on Omega Supreme when you can find a complete origional G1 one on ebay for the same price? *shrugs* Personally I like knowing it's an origional toy and not a remake. But hey, to each his own.
I would far rather have a minty remake then an old one. It isn't the antiquity I like, but more the toy and nostalgia it brings. Nostalgia comes either way. I am sure a vintage mint Omega would be far more then $120.
Because even you find a minty one on ebay there's no guarantee what one person rates as a C9+ will be that way for you too. And for $120 you won't get an Omega MISB or even MIB (unless it's a taped up, shredded box). I have an original, in a pretty bad box. It's just a display item. I'm ordering the new one because 1. I want one to play with and 2. From what I've seen the packaging is excellent. Collect originals only if you want but the official reissues are very very close quality-wise to their original counterpart - it's hard to tell the difference sometimes. IMHO, you're missing out if you are a G1 collector and not picking up reissues.
The new OS will probably have better quality electrics then the old one too, I can't imagine they're still using the exact same motors and stuff after all this time, lol.
