TF highlights from their newsletter: E-HOBBY GALVATRON: This cool exclusive repaint will be here in around 10 - 12 days. Galvatron II is a repaint very similar to the original US G1 version, but also comes with some add-ons - a nice compliment to the recent Purple Galvatron. Preorders are available now for $94.99 http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=TAK10445&mode=retail AFA (ACTION FIGURE AUTHORITY) GRADED TRANSFORMERS: We will be working closely with AFA to bring you high-grade U85 to U95+ modern Transformers! wouldn't you say that if its release is just a couple months away, that we should see pictures of the actual final toy soon? Andy EDIT: I wonder if the mold problems (ie: the hip) have been fixed?
*dances merrily, humming the Smurf song with his problem-free GF Soundave that he got 3 months ago* Actually, I'm interested in seeing the slight changes/whatnot, too, as I plan to pick one up to leave sealed.
Are you referring to "official Hasbro stock photos" (which we already saw at Entertainment Earth) or "leaked test shots from Asia"?
Does this mean that brick-and-mortar stores will be getting them then too or will they still be waiting until April?
That AFA grading could be cool if they sent in cases of new stock stuff. I'd be interested in picking up some AFA graded and sealed up minicon sets, possibly some basics. Don't have room for much larger than that. And Soundwave. Yes. He looks awesome, and is the one I've been looking forward to the most that I didn't already get the Galaxy Force version of.
So what happened to deluxe Downshift? Isn't he in the same case as CD Hot SHot? There's no preorder for him. Ferret
OK. I gotta ask.... what's the problem on the hip of GF Soundwave? I don't remember anything wrong in mine. -airfox
I noticed that the release date for the other new figures have been moved forward as well. Excillion and Doubleclutch are now stated for release March 2006 and Shortround, Repugnus, Scrapmetal and Lugnutz are stated for April 2006 (compared to the May 2006 listing on Entertainment Earth)... ... so usually figures are spotted in stores before the online retailers say so (see Thunderblast, Brimstone and Crosswise - scheduled for January, released early December) that means that we may see the new basics in or around late March... and I know that Remy of TFkenkon.com has a habit of getting the Hasbro exclusive toys like a month before they hit stores... which means that we should see some in-package and out-of-package pics of Shortround and Repugnus... yesterday (failing that, sometime in late February to mid-March)... by which time Soundwave, Excillion, Doubleclutch, D. Crumplezone, CD Scattorshot, CD Hotshot and Downshift will probably have been released. Wow, time flies when you're thinking about how much time flies.
Here's hoping he got moved up so they can sneak a Soundblaster repaint into the tail end of the line/year.
