There is a first part to this link fellas. I found this after a rescent blunder of my own really, that may or may not have been good fortune depending on how you look at it. But I missed my opportuity to get an MP-05. Essentially, BBTS has placed a memo in MP-05 packages (I can only assume for legalities) that indicate that the toy may be mistaken for a real fire-arm. This is somewhat old news, I guess about two weeks but since my curiosity in getting the figure has only rescently been sparked I figure it should be mentioned and paid some notice. Now one problem is the Canada Customs program. A big problem really. However, the other is the notice for BBTS (BigBadToyStore) which while some people have had issues with the retailer I have yet to experience any. That being said it should be made aware that if you live in Canada, purchase this product from BBTS and the notice that is being placed in these boxes are adhered to properly by the border patrol, you will not receive this toy and BBTS will not reimburse you based on the policy they have for no tears or opened products. Whether you want to make this some sort of complaint thread, boycott or just as a rule of thumb do whatever you like. I am simply using it as a guideline, and 125 dollars of my money is going to tfsource.com Perhaps I will have better luck through them. If you wish to reply, give the link a listen first, because it goes into more detail as to why I feel it is necessary to point all this out, Happy Holidays TFW2005!
I am not the original poster of that video. I am merel passing along the info garnered from it. I watched this guys video and biker trashe's response to it and he has been so completely gracious. Biker Trash doesn't even seem to care to receive it. His response requested other people to vie for it without pulling himself out entirely from the pool of about 5 people who bothered to make video response.
While we're on the topic, is it true that Big Bad Toy Store was formed from the merger between the Big Toy Store and the Bad Toy Store?
I bought my MP5 from tfsource.com during the first wave of release and I had no problems with customs. the box was still sealed and I didn't have to pay any duties.. I'm thinking it's the memo BBTS put in thats causing the problems. anyhow.. I think I'll order from kooltoyz.ca if I want to buy any G1 Megs just to be on the safe side..
I got my MP05 through TFSource and had no issues whatsoever, for what it's worth. No experience with BBTS to do with MP-05 so I have no comment on that issue.
Why any Canuck would even place an order for a modded MP05 with BBTS when A3U is offering them already (unmodded) is beyond me...
I was wondering that one myself as well. I've ordered from a3u(I live in the US), as well as bbts. But if I wanted to get something that could be considered questionable by customs, I'd get it from the shop that already has it in my country to avoid the issue.
BBTS is absolutely paranoid about anything gun like. They go above and beyond what any other seller of toy guns does to absolutely avoid any and all liability in the absolute remote possibility that a government agency comes after them.
While I can't, I still think they are leaning tword overkill based on what other stores do, and them not having any problems in the process.
you know I checked ages 3 and up throguh the masterpiece line and didnt see MP-05, I will have to check again, I saw the upgrade accessory kit and that was it.
