I think Dreamworks's statement was damage control due to the reporting(misreporting) of the writing script news. I think some people got their feelings hurt and Dreamworks needed to show clearly support for the strike because I guarantee there have been studios that have been writing int he wings during the strike in order to reach 'production' first after this downtime. There is a race to get 'new shit' to the TVs and beat the other studios.

Everything seems fine, They have probably done as much work as they could do in preperation of this roadblock being lifted. That is pretty common I would think.

Yep at this point it's all wait and see. Even for people that don't like Bay for one reason or the other I don't think anyone even the least bit sane could ever say that Bay doesn't have drive and commitment when it comes to a movie project. Don't know where he gets all the energy from but if Transformers is not done on time I'd say it was because other people couldn't keep up with Bay's pace not a lack of effort on Bay's part.

Also hoping for a really good second film as well. If he puts the same sort of energy into characters as he does into the action it could really end up being one of the classics nerd speak of forever. Maybe this is going to be film where he breaks out of the just an action director to the more rounded director he hints at in some of his interviews.

Well, it's undeniable the man has a drive to keep his dates. I too hope for a better movie and if that means a delay, I'd be ok with it.
