For me a (G1) era kid - movie toys were the first transformers to make me go WOW   :jawdropper:  again.

Though it did take some time for me to adjust to the drastic difference in style/aesthetic vs G1 ...

Movie toys have a strong presence in my collection - 07 leader Optimus was the first movie toy I purchased -- great figure - fun complex transformation. ROTF Leader Megs is one of my Top 10...love that bot

The movies have inspired some amazing toys... 2007 - Today

Yes, though even speaking as a Bayverse toy fan, they're beginning to wear out their welcome for me. Evasion Mode Optimus is a great toy, however, but so far he's the only AOE figure I have so far outside of Advanced EX movie redeco's. Unlike ROTF/HFTD and DOTM, I haven't been feeling too much of the AOE toy hype, to be honest. The Bayverse figures really did peak with ROTF/HFTD and the Human Alliance subline.

Bayformers got me into Transformers. Hadn't cared much for then since I was a kid in the 80s.

When I first saw the Bayformers in the movies, I didn't like their new more mechanical look. I was expecting more simple G1 Transformers, I guess.

After a while I ordered a few figures of cars that I like. I was quickly intriged by the complexity of transformation and advanced looking robots.

I then bought many, many more and also started collecting some G1s, got a hold of some of my own G1s from my parents' place.

Then I discovered the masterpieces and the CHUGs :)

I don't like the actual movies, though. Mainly due to the big human character presence and the attempt to do ironic Indiana Jones comedy. Embarrassing :(

I've grown to like movie toys, and I'm still a G1 and BW fan.

Like Timesynch, though, I'm not a very big fan of the AoE toys. Evasion OP is the only new mold that I have.

I like the realistic alt modes, and robots with a lot of detail so that they resemble real machines. Though I might prefer that Hasbro were coming up with all the character designs on their own.

I can't answer this straight with yes or no. There are much things that I don't like. But I would not go so far that I hate them or totally dislike them. Today I finally bought the upcoming steelbox of the trilogy. But I certainly can imagine the movies much better. But the movie toys: That's easy. I don't like them.

I think I'm going to do a poll asking how many times this question has been asked.

Yes, I love them and pretty much everything else. I really like the realistic alt modes and detail.

A frightening and absurd concept to most, sadly. But I'm the same way.

    I like them.
I guess in the end a lot of the 'filler' molds are not as interesting to me, I can see myself selling off molds like Dropkick or Swerve much faster than some other line's B-listers.

But I've enjoyed most of the movie characters AND the amazing roster of toys during ROTF/HFTD.

No. The bayformers are terrible. The worst ones are the characters they made up. The DinoBays are pretty awful too.

Yep me too. Many think it's "sacrilege." Like you can only take one side.

...This needs a third 'I like some of them' option...
I mean I really love EM Optimus, and I love the 'knight' theme with the dinobots, and generally speaking I like about 2 or 3 molds out of each movie, usually ones that require only a little work to make them 'blend' well with my (mostly) classic collection.
So I voted yes, I like them because I do like SOME of them? ^^

A third option in the poll? I think that when it comes to polls you should keep it to yes or no if possible and having too many poll options just muddles things up... anyway thats how I see it.

I have not appreciated the movie designs for the most part. I am not a movie collector, but the newer Evasion OP and the deluxe Dinobots that have come out strike some nice Classics chords design wise. I like the complex detail body designs, but I always replace the hands with traditional 5mm capable ones and the heads almost always get a swap ,if possible, with something more Classics style as well. I think the heads and the hands are the weak points that have turned me off these toys/designs/movies in the past and may be what turns lots of folks from liking them more.

I liked them Pre-2014. They just went to complete garbage for TF4.
