This thread? it has been here for a long long time. How do i know? Energon Pub • View topic - G1 transformers vs Bayformer counterparts http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-movie-discussion/377198-bayformers-vs-g1.html Transformologists found these unexplained threads all over the internet TFW2005 Seibetron Allspark more of these threads were created in 2007 and so on. This thread you see with your eyes? same ones over here right? SO tell me, how did they all end up creating the same thread huh? G1 fans and i think some of them are here.. check it out. Transformer World 2005 G1 fans...in disguise...hiding here. I detected complaints from all over teh internet! I pleaded ON MY KNEES for Bay to investigate, but he said the readings were UN-BELIEVABLE. That they were OBSESSED(with G1) THEM! can you imagine that?!
Well, he ruined my childhood! Not with the movies though. He was my next door neighbor. He stole our lawn chairs and renamed my dog.
Because what you term "boxy" covers so many shows over so many decades. It's not just G1 Transformers that was done in this style but Voltron, the various Gundam series, Power Rangers, it was a popular style for both robots and mechs so it appears in most shows that had a robot or mech theme. You might as well just say how could anyone have liked Animated because it's still a variation on "boxy". Some people just don't like anorexic or skeletal looking robots but rather have some sort of sleek armored look. Taste vary among people so there isn't one style that is going to appeal to everyone equally.
my childhood ruined micheal bay. look at the poor man swiviled up to nothing, cant feed himself, rubbing his own phecies in his hair.man needs a break!
If you don't think anyone has ever actually used that phrase (not that I agree with it at all), read this. Post War Dreams.: This is bad comedy.
These threads have existed since 2007 when TF 1 came out. People , in general, will always complain/hate something that is new/different then what they are used to.There's a whole lot of old school TF fans like myself that can accept the different incarnations of our beloved heroes and villans but there are many who can't/don't.
A lot of it is due to rigid expectations. You see a lot of threads that are what if this and what If that. I always wonder what's the point bit I realise it must mean something to some nembets of the fandom the have the illusion of control over the immediate future. Obviously, as when anybody's principles are attack, I.e. their predictions and expectations aren't met, they become angry. You are fans of a franchise called TRANSFORMERS, adaptation isn't a new concept to you.
This kind of discussion about the designs still goes on because some people still don't like them. I'm sure many people have something they've disliked for years. Passage of time doesn't always change opinions. Perhaps. But it'll be interesting to see exactly how accepting of change or not the hardcore Bay fans are when whatever comes after Bay's version of Transformers comes along to the cinema screens. Will there be irony for all those people that parrot 'Transformers is about change!!' and then hate because they wanted BayFormers forever but it's later replaced? Perhaps.
If thet ever happens I will so gladly answer everything with "This isn't your precious Beyformers! ACCEPT THE CHANGE!
I admit that I will enjoy a sick sense of satisfaction when Bayformers go away to make room for something else. Not that I have anything against the Bayverse... just those fans who were thugs towards others for the sin of being different than them and not liking what they liked the same way they do.
