    True but still :(
I wouldnt want it to diverge too drastically from what he has done because it just wouldn fit then, but a mix up of ideas would be cool

"I need to do something totally divergent, something without any explosions."

    Impossible.

That said, there is no way he walks away from the money. I wouldn't mind seeing someone else direct the third film (and fourth, et cetera), but it wouldn't be rational for him to quit.

I don't mind if a new director steps up, as long as they don't change the robots.

I'm really not surprised. The studios want a fast turnaround for the third movie, which would mean Bay would, for all intents and purposes, be working on these movies for six years of his life with very little interruption. Given how hard he works, I'm not shocked he needs some time away.

Personally speaking, I hope he does follow through and make an effects-free movie next. I know people will look at me like I have three heads for saying this, but I do think he's got more skill than he's given credit for, and a smaller film would help him grow as a filmmaker.

It'll be interesting to see who they line up for the third movie. I can't help but wonder if Edgar Wright would be done with Scott Pilgrim in time... I've always thought he'd be a great choice.

    Huzzah!!

Been thinking on it and i think it would be good if a new director put a spin on it, i mean its pretty impossible to turn it into a serious drama because of giant robots lol but something more serious could be cool.
Harry potter has had multiple directors an far as i know its kept them fresh (aint watched any)

    Oh god, yes.

So long as they keep the same robot designs (so it all still looks like the same universe), I would love Bay to step down.

I am tired of the shaky-cam and toilet humor.

Please Peter Jackson, Chris Nolan, Ridley Scott, are you reading this???

    I don't believe it.

Bay and Transformers are a match made in heaven. They can't quit eachother, and it's only going to be so long until he feels: "y'know, I'd like to see this or that done."

I'll be indifferent until this is A, confirmed, and B, his replacement, which will then happen, is announced.

Besides: F***ING DINOBOTS, PLEASE!!!! Bay didn't like them.

I'd wait until ROTF came out. It may just mean that he is done with it for now.

I always thought that too, but it would be good to see the tf world from another perspective, same bots but new humans, because then it wouldnt be like "wtf they ruined sam" or whatever, new people, new themes

Peter jackson mehhh, i dunno who i would want to do it but i dont think i'd like him to be involved
