I remember about a year back bay said TF4 would take place in space for a bit of the film. But from trailers that don't look likely. What does everyone else think ?

I would like to point out the fact that we have seen around 10 minutes of a 2.5 hour film. We don't know exactly what is going to happen.

 

There's absolutely no way to tell based on what we've seen.

 

It's just looking at trailer the space part must be dinos arriving and lockdown with his bosses

 

It was rumored that there might be about 15 to 20 minutes worth of off earth scenes. But just rumors as of right now.

 

Given the way he described it, while we may see a little more off-planet scenes potentially explaining Lockdown's master (Unicron or Quintessons otherworld scene would do it) I doubt its going to go into other planets, unless the film takes a very odd twist as from what we've seen the main battles and scenes occur on Earth.

Though I do admit they may be hiding some parts for the films - I doubt we'll see a lot of the film set on other worlds. Its still universe-building at the moment.
