I've noticed many people's comments on bay as the director and some say that he's good , others say he's bad jst so we kno ill do a poll to get an idea on way u guys think of him as a director
As an action director, he's awesome, one of the best I've seen. As a director for a lot of other stuff, he kinda sucks.
Hmm..some of his ideas are ******ed, and he's fucked some things up. But he's the overall reason that Transformers was brought back. Before 2007, I didn't know anything about Transformers, so for that, I'd say he's good.
All things considered, I say he landed on the side of "good". Some things he's mucked up, but he's had success in other areas.
is he the best director for a transformers striclty G1-based history film? no is he the best director for a badass action awesome epic film? HELL YEAH I really liked the fact Bay directed the movie. If any other director did it, the movie wouldnt be as badass as it was
He made some mistakes that's for sure. But he really brought life to the Transformers. Even though he made some deceisons I don't agree like making Prime a cold blooded killer and giving Devastator "balls". But I think he did a good job despite all that.
I think he's a great director. After all, some of us are here thanks to him. If he had never decided to make Transformers movies, none of us would like Transformers as much as we do now. I don't know why some people say he's a bad director. Sure, he did screw up ROTF a bit, but the other 2 movies are more than awesome.
i thought he was great imagine another director for all we know he could had made them look all blocky i thought he was great a bit of bad things but mostly great
As a director for Transformers, yes. I like that he came around from his original seeming disinterest of the franchise, to being one of it's biggest contributors (from a certain point of view). I also like that he pushed ILM towards even more realism. Last but not least I saw originality in his TF movies, which has made them all the more exciting.
What I find amusing is that I have heard a lot of people clamouring for other directors who they believe should have had the job instead of Bay. For example, Christopher Nolan is a name that gets thrown around a lot, but I'm really not sure he, or anyone else for that matter, could have genuinely produced a better end product than Bay. Of course there are flaws with all of the TF movies, but a large part of that is because we as fans analyse and critique them in such detail. You do that to any film and the threads will eventually become frayed. I think we should be glad of what we got, because without Bay as director, is could have turned out a lot worse.
Of course he doesn't. That's why he used the word 'could', as in signifying there was a chance. However, given the financial success of both the films and the toys, it's safe to say the chances of getting a 'better' director are less than getting one who was 'worse'. And I voted yes but both options are fanboyishly extreme.
