    To quote Awesomus Prime:

I would be all for it. What about everyone else?

Bay's ego would never allow it. Look at how he said he said he wanted to leave things set up so another director wouldn't come in and ruin his vision.

Otherwise, I'd be up for Bay splitting directing duties with someone that can do all the finer details that don't involve exploding stuff.

Co-direct? Nope, needs to be gone in that capacity. Either just do the visuals or sign on as producer and leave, since rebooting isn't gonna happen anytime soon.

The issue is that Michael Bay is only really good at one thing. He makes things look cool.

The problem is that that doesn't make for good visual storytelling. He's not communicating vital information about a scene- he just sells it from as many angles as possible.

He makes things look cool. But the problem is that coolness is genuinely counter intuitive to telling a story.

Visual producer and cinematographer Bay with the direction of a better "story" director and you have yourself an insanely great winning formula. Sadly, they are going to see it as a profits margin thing: why change what's working?

They could literally split the script in half take action sequences to bay and whoever is the story dude is gets his bit. That way they will never even need to be on the same set.
