What the? I mean, really what?

Another set of Cylons get revealed.

Cylons just up and done with this whole kill humans thing?

Baltar loses the election to Roslin's fixing, but then Roslin comes clean?

Nuke blows up 3 or 4 ships and the military DOESN'T drop the hammer on Baltar.

The one year skip to a drugged out Baltar with teh Hottiez and a uncaring government.

Stripped out military fleet, skeleton crews, and New Caprica.

Cheif Tyrel a union leader talking of sabotage and strike.

Base Stars popping into existance around New Caprica.

The fleet leaving everyone planetside, and Cylons popping in to say hello to Baltar, and thanks for all the help.

October can't get here fast enough.

That was pretty wild. Definatly one of the biggest cliffhangers. Even better than last season I think. Baltar has got to get his commupance. He's gonna get fraked big time I hope. It's funny, Apollo looks like he packed on some pounds and really aged while not having to run from the Cylons for a year.

I dunno...am I the only one who didn't like this? It was fine for the first hour, then during the last half hour, I kept wishing it was a dream sequence.

Maybe I'll soften up in October, and I WILL watch in October (I've followed this series since the miniseries), but it just feels like this is the new version of Battlefield Earth now, which is NEVER a good way to go...

Fracking blew my mind. I wonder if Baltar will "officially" work for the cylons now like in the original series in season 3. The relationship between him and six is just about all revealed to all now. God I love this show.

Missed some of the beginning, but I caught about the last half or so. The end honestly made me sit up in bed and say, "Oh shit". Its definately gonna feel like a long time till we get to October.

This whole second season has had me saying "WHAT THE FRACK?!" after each episode, so this didn't disappoint.

My question is, which 6 was this? I think it's Caprica 6 because without the resurrection ship Pegasus 6 nuked herself into oblivion. That begs the question, will invisible 6 and invisible Baltar meet? And could Baltar and Caprica 6 see their invisible doubles?

I hope this ain't a dream sequence. The best thing about Battlestar has been the consequences. We've lost maybe 10,000 people and I wanna see how that's gonna play out...

    ...can't wait till October!

I'm pretty sure that it was Caprica Six. That's why she said that she knew who he was. Plus I can definitely see the Cylons wanting to have the war heroes there.

The thing that baffles me is how the Cylons would just pull up stakes on the 12 Colonies. Granted the preacher Cylon said that Cylons admit to their mistakes, but at the same time the amount of effort that went into taking the Colonies and the 12 habitable worlds they had now to work on. To just leave all that is a bad decision IMO. Now they are going to wander with all of those humanform Cylons trying to find a new place to live after mobilizing everything to get new digs?

And where is the next season going to go? The fleet working on finding a way to rescue those left on New Caprica? Trying to discover Earth for help? Or maybe going back to the 12 Colonies to try and get that help from whomever was left behind, but it really looked like the fleet was stripped out. How much effort would have to go into rebuilding everything?

It's just going to be really amazing.

    *tries to will time forward*

May I ask what the "NBC rumors" are? I'm more than curious, and at this stage, rumors can hardly be counted as spoilers.

They skipped ahead a year for good reason: This storyline won't last. Adama will be back, and a few eps into Season 3, you can be sure what is left of the fleet will resume it's course towards Earth. I suspect this storyline serves a purpose besides shaking up the status quo: It will answer why the fleet HAS to get to Earth, as opposed to settling on the first habitable planet they can find.

I do imagine that we'll see a big change for Baltar, though. I am willing to bet Sharon 1 will return, and she can confirm Rosalin's suspicions that Balter was working with the Cylons. This will lead to his ouster, and (old school fans can hope) it will see him taking command of the Cylon pursuers.

Not a dream sequence (or if it is, it is a LOUSY one). Certainly Baltar's head on the desk was a perfect opportunity to do such a trick, and when I first (inadvertantly) heard about this part of the plot, it's what I suspected would happen. My fear was that it would turn into the DS9 episode "The Search pt 2", in which the Dominion offers a peace treaty, and then we see it all go to hell, only to find out its a simulation.

Here, if such a thing were being done, it would be from Baltar's POV, and there are too many things happening Baltar probably wouldn't know or care about, most notably the continued existence of the Cylon baby.

Just finished watching. Yeah, wow. I hate that year skip though. They were going nearly day by day up till now it seems and then to skip a whole year... yeah they needed it for the story, but still.

I'm positive it was Caprica 6 and original Sharon in Baltar's office. And odds are the middle guy was the one from the miniseries. Just seems like they'd use the copies most used to dealing with humans.

Why the hell do we have to till October though? That's so not fair. SG1 and Atlantis are re-starting in June or July... dammit.

Of course they can't. However since people expressed some concern about the way the program is headed.......

The *rumor* is that NBC are planning to move BSG to NBC full stop. The fear is that NBC will make some fairly noteable changes to increase the ratings.

^^^Ah. I'm not all that concerned with the show moving to NBC (in my opinion, one network is the same as the next, as long as the show is the same), but maybe I don't know all the facts. May I ask exactly *what* NBC is rumored to change? If this is too big a spoiler, can you please PM me with these rumors?

You know, they lose any more people and there won't be enough genetic stock left to create a new civilization. At first I thought they'd jumped the shark with this, but now it seems like a logical step.

There are two rumors going around, Edward James Olmos not being signed for next season at all and NBC taking the show back to NBC proper. But with Sci-Fi advertising Octoboer, and filming not set to begin for awhile, I'm guessing they could clear up the contract with Olmos and even if NBC has first dib air rights to Galactica, sci-fi will be showing it too. I'd rather watch it on sci-fi. The logo is less obnoxious.

The Olmos rumor is bogus. Olmos said recently he will be with this series until the end, so long as the quality holds. He is very proud of the show, and doesn't want to leave. If his contract is up (and I don't know if it is), this is the silliest negotiating tactic ever. I remember with TNG Patrick Stewart gave us about 5 years of "I don't know... I'd like to do more theater..." bullshit in order to rev up the fans and gain leverage for a better contract (and I don't blame him for doing so).

Where this seems to have originated from is Moore's podcast for the finale, in which he said Olmos wasn't going to come back. He has since clarified this was meant as a joke (either badly told or badly heard, I don't know which).

I really hope they don't move it to NBC. They'll find a way to screw it up and cancel it.
