Aaaaaahhhhhh... I've had one of those one of those beatiful golden moments of Xbox live gaming that just makes my day. This is not sarcastic at all.

I'm playing Rush mode, actually trying to find Space Marine 1A (we didnt get to play   ) but I ended up with a squad of some dudes, doing squad dude things. I put on my headset trying to talk to these dudes who're being quiet. I spot some guys on a road and I'm all like "Hey! We got infantry to the right of the into the woods! I droped one but his buddy is around!" etc... etc... No one is really talking back, but we the fight goes on. I duck back from a window and a sniper replaces my posistion, I tell the guy to be carful because I took some fire from there and.... he backed off from the window! Wha? WOW! They're listening! Next thing I know it, they're talking, calling out enemy posistions instead of just hitting a back button and asking each other for ammo crates and med kits... and then their buddies actually deliver!

I also just want to brag that during my time playing with these excellent randoms that I shot down 4 helicopters, 2 black hawks, 2 hinds with the 3rd rocket launcher  

 

I'm just going to put this out here... I'm kinda getting bored playing by myself when my squad's not on. I rarely meet any resistance that I can't handle and I'm usually at the top of the boards in games. I'm 2 Destruction 2.0 kills away from getting the platinum trophy and I have everything unlocked. I guess the only thing I have to do is get platinum stars (i have 4 so far). I wish they would add new weapons and specs for the higher ranks to unlock.

Don't get me wrong, this is the best game I've ever played, but playing by myself, where I can't talk to good friends and pwn at the same time  , gets kinda boring in a social sense.

EDIT: I wish my signature would update, but the EA rank servers are having troubles that they can't fix.

 

You play on the XBL vader?

By the way, has anyone unlocked the G3? The gun is alright, but the sights seem a little odd, or maybe its the bullet velocity. Either, does the gun seem strange to everyone else when using it?

 

I play on PS3.

The fire rate on the G3 is kinda wierd to me but I like it, it's easy to kill with at short ranges.

Nah it wasn't one of those type of buildings. A buddy of mine found out how to do it though. He told me to just pack the roof with C4 and the blast will eventually blow it up.

Technically they're not new maps, they're Conquest and Rush added to a current map with that already had the opposite mode.

Was it a download? Theres been chatter about them being on the disc already, waiting for the CoD map pack (which launched broken and slowed down Live as a whole for a minute).

How do you knife a friend?

I tried but it wouldn't let me kill teammates.

 

Me and ratrap got in with some work.
It's easiest on rush games, join a friends game and sometimes you'll be placed on opposite teams. Use Private/Party chat, as a defender find a hiding place in the attackers spawn and have the friend find you.

You'll be put on the same team after a round. Me and trap joined games until we were on a full team and the other one could then join on the opossing team. It doesn't have to be all in one round.

You can also message someone on the opposite team, friend them and then boost it.

 

Sometimes it feels like I'm playing Sniperfield: Snipe Company 2 - the Snipering.

The Recon kit is supposed to be more than just sniping. Your primary job is spotting enemies, demolition, sniping SUPPORT (that is, defending your allies and the MCOMs) and artillery spotting.

But you get players who just camp and snipe snipe snipe into oblivion.


Twice in a row today I've gotten onto servers with team mates who just camped, playing dueling snipers with the other team. It got to the point that one enemy guy just walked to their right flank (about eight of them in one clutch of snipers) and picked them off one by one. They just kept respawning there to be killed again.

I shot the guy and told them to watch their goddamn flank instead of just sitting there sniping without a care in the world.

 

Snipers are a pain but once they get me once i know right where they are and pick them off with Magnum ammo and a scope.

 

I've been playing this game 3 or 4 times a week and have been pretty inconsistent. My high point has been 9 knife kills in a round two separate times during a six hour bender last night. Low point has to be one match where I had a total of 170 points earlier today where I had 2 kills and 12 deaths... Hating the conquest maps for the most part, especially the snowy one, just struggle with that map.

 

Stuck with horrific teams today. In 5 games I've managed to cap 2 out of 3 flags at the start. In 4 of those games we managed to lose both flags and then not gain another one for the rest of the round. The other game we managed to hold onto one flag. I got most of my points by taking out wanna-be spawn campers.

I was also stuck with full sniper squads, three snipers and me as an engineer. Tracer dart to the head, leave squad and I get teamed up with more snipers when I join a different squad.

Also, not gaining points because you're dead needs to be fixed. I used landmines and took out two Light Tanks (200 points) with 2 passengers each (200 points), a random guy next to the APC that died (50 points), Flag Defense on a marked flag (30 points per kill, 150 points), and the multikill (15 points per kill for 75 points). My score when I respawned 160, what I had for capping the two flags.

 

The game is buggy is hell. The server browser is almost useless. Half of the time when I check my history, it decides to do a standard search. Or doesn't show anything at all.

And what's with it listing there are like 25 out of a max of 32 players in yet the server is mysteriously full?

 

This^^^^ Damn I hate that!

 

I'm 4 kills closer to the Demolition Man achievement, 8 if team kills count. By my rough count I need 10 or 11 more and I can quit blowing up every single building in the map.

Edit: I need 11 more demolish kills.
