Yes, you can play as Commander on Console or the PC if you want to. The ability to play Commander on a tablet is just an added feature and let's you get some game time in while out and about. Edit: Just found out I'll have my Note 8.0 by night's end, can't wait to get my hands on it.
Ah thats OK then, I wasn't sure if you could because I hadn't seen anyone playing as the Commander outside of a tablet. Guess I'll pass on the tablet, no need to get it. Especially when I need the game and a next-gen console first and foremost
During the E3 multiplayer they had guys playing Commander Mode using what they called Commander Stations, really high end PCs with multiple monitors to help the Commanders see everything that was going on. Really is a sweet set up, might set my next Gaming Rig up like that.
According to IGN and Endgadget, Battlefield 4's ability to use a second screen via tablet is exclusive to the PC and Next Gen Consoles, so no love for current gen consoles. Oh my, this is looking so good. Definitely the first title I'll be picking up with a PS4 late next year. Might even spring for the premium version!
A premium version of the game hasn't been revealed yet, only Premium as a seperate downloadable item just like BF3 was for a start.
I hope I can find a job before this game comes out. Really need to upgrade my PC.....and buy an Xbox One. So much to do and so little time. Job market, why do you hate me so?
Oh right, well you know I got into BF3 a long time after release so the Premium was already about, didn't know otherwise. But saying that, I'll be getting into BF4 late too so it might be out by then. Be a bargain looking at the quality of the footage we've had so far.
Well the premium version of the game came out more than a year after the initial release...I don't know, it was successful so maybe they'l do it earlier this time round.
I can wait, I'm patient. It'll be worth the saving, and BF titles are good fun for how long? How old even is BF3? Anyway, the point there is BF doesn't get rejigged every other year so picking it up a year or so into its life won't really affect how long I can have fun with it for.
I was already planning on picking this, Forza 5, and possibly Watch Dogs up along with my Xbox... But me having Battlefield 4 is now an absolute must, and has actually been that way since gameplay started showing up.
