ALSO: I'm in the Alpha testing! W00t!
The gameplay is so intense!!
Can't wait. Undecided as to get for 360 or the PC I'm building. If it can support the x-52 Pro Flight System by Saitek then I'm definitely getting it for PC. Can't wait to fly me some jets, been so long since I brought the carnage in BF2.
I'm happy they are finally getting off their asses and doing something to prevent base raping but I'm also saddened that they have done away with tracer darts, have downed many a chopper with one of those. Hopefully they'll make some anti air RPGs or something, choppers can be really overpowered at times.
I'm also stoked they finally made the bipods do something now, perfect for picking off targets at a distance, can't wait.
I'm pretty sure that I'll be getting it on the PC now, maybe will pick up a copy for the 360 later on in time, since a lot of friends play it on there but I had BF2 on my PC back in the day, loved flying jets and sabotaging enemy bases, god do I miss the Special Ops class.
Can't wait for BF3. Grabbing it for the PS3, easily. Could be fun with multiple TFW members playing multiplayer in teams, I know I'd be up for that.
Battlefield 3: Mixed Alpha Gameplay‏ - YouTube
Its almost scary how far we've come with video games..
The more I look at this, the more Im tempted to buy it at retail..
But I know how busy I'll be with Gears 3!
The more I see of BF3 the more I want it. Also it makes me miss BF2, such a fun and awesome time. Bad Company 2 just doesn't compare.
Bad Company 2 is my favorite game of all time. But that might change with this one. I've been playing the Alpha for about a week now and I will say that it has blown me away for how far it has come with it just being in the Alpha stage, but I can't say much more because I'm still under the NDA with DICE/EA. drool I'm sure I'll love it a LOT more when I can play it on my PS3... I don't like using a keyboard and mouse.
I don't know, I'm still not entirely sold on this game. All of the Bad Company 2 videos had a similar quality in terms of looking extremely intense. I'm not buying into the hype fully until I actually play the game, as a big ass original BC player I was EXTREMELY let down by 2 and while I know this is part of the main series instead of Bad Company, I get this nagging feeling watching these videos they took the chassis from BC2 (which was really taken from BC1) and slapped a different body on it.
I thought I read somewhere that vehicles now have animations for players getting into them now as opposed to the older way of just "teleporting" into the driver/gunner seat. Can anyone back that up?
I hope it is true though, as much as I love warping to the safety of a tank's armor when being shot at by multiple enemies, I always hated how some ass would teleport out of the way of my bullet and end up running me over or driving away scratch free. I'm also hoping that the new engine allows for more realistic road kills, ie something like a 4 wheeler taking damage from running someone over as opposed to it taking no damage at all. Hell, I'd love to see a quad flip upon hitting and killing someone instead of just clipping through them.
I'm really excited for this game, cannot put it into words. I'm building a new PC just for this game (also for the experience since I plan to go to college for a career in electronics engineering).
I'm so buying a flight control system for the jets in this game, Jets + Flight Stick + Throttle Stick = Pure Pwning.
Really? I think BC2 is way better than BC1 (still loved BC1 though). BC2 is my favorite game and they changed a lot from BC1. I feel like it plays different. Believe me, the amazing looking trailers carry right over into the gameplay.
For multiplayer you "teleport." It keeps gameplay fastpaced to keep up with the rest of it. There are enter and exit animations in singleplayer though, but they are scripted into the story.
Preordered this and Forza 4's Limited Top Gear edition tonight. Can't wait.
