This may or may not work (depending on interest and fanboy rage), but I thought it be fun in theory to discuss a potential battle between two characters from the video game world.

So how would a scenario between these two characters play out and who would win?

One rule... these battles are based on the limitations of the characters in their original incarnations... so if Megaman can't shoot up, then that is his weakness, otherwise, we can pretty much call it a draw.

In my Opinion, Megaman has the firepower, to be sure, but Samus a seasoned Bounty Hunter. But the problem is that Samus always starts her adventures with no real weapons and very little in terms of life, while Megaman comes in with his underwear only and finishes with his underwear. He may not pack the weapons, but he knows how to use what he does have.

 

is this with Megaman and Samus having full powers? If so, does what Robot Masters does Megaman possess?

 

Well since we're just having fun with it, he can have any video game series powers, same thing with Samus, including the Cube versions of the game. to be honest, I'm not familiar enough wither either characters well enough. I started with those two because this isn't a Nintendo vs. MS vs. Sony, so I didn't want it to be treated like that if it were Ratchet vs. Fox McCloud, so I started with two Nintendo-origin characters. So have at it.

Samus would Freeze Megaman, turn into a ball, lay like 60 bombs around him, roll away and detonate.

 

Samus would win.....coz of the tits

If Megaman can have the Metal Blades, its all over for Samus.

With both at minimum power, I'd probably say Samus. She has the agility, and a wider option of firing angles. Even from the beggining she could pretty much shoot at whatever angle she wanted.

 

And Megaman has no concept of "UP", hehehe

 

 

Then again, it's Samus for me IMO.

 

Megs would use the Electric shock and select button her to death.

Her firepower is at least equal to the Blue Bomber's on every level of power-upedness and she has better agility.

I am curious to see who the contenders are in subsequent rounds.

Samus, hands-down. Especially if Megaman only has his default powers. She'd wipe the floor with him.

 

Megaman could use Time Stopper, then decapitate her with Metal Blades

But we'll get to those eventually, hehehe

What version of Samus are we talking, as well? Original basic Samus had a weapon range of about 5 feet. All Megaman would have to do is stand out of her range. If we're making it an "all incarnations with all powers" then the edge would still probably go to Megaman, especially if we're holding them to the limitations of their characters. Samus, no matter how hard she hits Megaman, will have to deal with his invincibility period after each hit. Samus, again as an amalgamation of old-gen and cube versions, doesn't get that luxury.

Plus, Samus would have to kill Megaman at least 8 times

Megaman, because his games are better.

Metroid is only better than Megaman in the 3D territory.

 

I had fun with Megaman Legends and it was 3D.

 

If we're talking with all of their powers, then I would have to say Mega Man, due to the incredible amount of versatility that his weapons give him. Metal Blade can shoot in all directions, Time and Flash Stoppers can freeze time, Rain Flush, Centaur Flash, Gravity Hold, and Tornado Blow can deal damage no matter where you are, his many shield weapons can absorb shots while Black Hole Bomb and Tornado Blow can get rid of them altogether, and that is not even scratching the surface of what he can do with his weapons.

Samus may be faster than Mega Man, but so was Quick Man, and look what happened to him 

 

that's right, megaman at full power he has so many different powers that it woudl be no contest, throw in Rush, maybe a little X an some Zero, and samus has nothing she can do to him.
