Just a random thread amongst all the excitment of the TF3 filming. I remember a few people mentioning Rathcet and Ironhide having battlemasks in some scenes, and some of the Ironhide redocoes having his battelmask. I can't say I ever really noticed! Could someone post some screen caps to show comparaisons of them with and without the battlemasks? Also how about Sideswipe, or am I right it thinking he definitely didn't have one? Thanks!
I was just thinking about this the other day and found this while searching before making a new thread of my own As far as I am aware, the only characters with battle masks in either film were Prime and Bumblebee. Jazz had his visor which was retractable, but not really a 'battle mask' IMO. The Human Alliance Sideswipe figure has one but I don't think he used it in the film. That's all I got. Anyone?
I've really tried to find Ironhide's battle mask but I still haven't seen it - only in pre-final concept art, package art and on some of the toys..
It's only a subtle change, like a nose guard, I believe he has it in the second movie like right when they show 'em.
ive never seen ratchet with a battlemask cept in the comic Defiance (i think). and ive never seen ironhide with his battlemask in the movies, only in art of him
Actually he did. It was like a flat, four-part plate that went over his face. You briefly see it after he gets blasted by Megatron and he rolls up to the camera. It's different from his regular face. Blackout also had a battle mask that was harder to tell because of his insectoid face, but when he sees the soldiers and turns around his face changes so that his "mouth" area is more solid and his brow slides down closer to his eyes. (I originally thought he was just making an angry face until I watched it again) Ironhide is supposed to have a battle mask, but has never used it in the movies. His recon and deluxe toy both have it, though.
